Today just isn't my day

Well, as the title suggests today isn't going all that great for me at the moment. Earlier there was a storm that knocked out my power. When it knowcked out my power it also causes my desktop to error. I'm not a great person when it comes to the technical aspects of it but, it goins like this. You boot up the compter and it gets to the loading screen just before you get to the log in screen. Then it would restart itself...endlessly. So I try to use the OS disk to repair the problem (I figured it was just a corrupted file since it was basically full of them. So that doesn't fix the problem. In frustration I wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS. Now, heres where you'll want to facepalm for my stupidity...My ENTIRE HENTAI COLLECTION IS GONE. Yes, thats right I was so stupid for a moment that I deleted over 100gigs of beloved fapping material. On top of that the drivers that are used to connect my computer to the internet are missing so my computer doesn't see the modem hooked up to it. So I have a brick for a desktop at the moment. Currently I have an old laptop (excuse the expression) nigger rigged up to my modem in order for me to post this.

Today just really isn't my day. I fear that I'm growing dumber by the day.

I won't even wish that upon anyone.. but situations like this is pretty much why I just choose to switch my computer off during thunderstorms as safety precautions. It'll help, and plug in a video game or two.

Its also monsoon season in the state I'm living in atm, so I have to be more careful during this month than other months.

Right now I'm searching for the drivers for my windows xp. Something about Ethernet Controller and a couple others that don't seem related. *Sigh* I used to be really good with computers and now I can't even a freakin download so I can repair/replace those drivers so I can return to the internet on my desktop instead of having this particular set up.

If anyone knows where to get a simple download of the particular drivers I need I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried finding and downloading things to the laptop then moving them over but, its a catch 22 everything needs access to the internet in order to restore your access to the internet. This is so fucking stupid..everything in my life is a catch 22. If I had the internet I wouldn't need something to grant me internet access! :evil:

Edit: The sad thing is that was over six years worth of collecting. I doubt I'll find even a quarter of all the doujins I had let alone the images.

I'm not a computer expert myself, but I thought there's a way to restore deleted files......
Hmm, but that only aplies if you deleted it via empty recycle bin...

The colelction isn't what I'm worried about I could get 10 gigs in a day or a week at tops if I rally tried. I can't get the drivers to bring my computer back to the internet which is a little more vaulable to me at the moment.

Update:
I fixed..one of my many computer problems. Though for such a simple problem it was a HUGE pain in the ass. Now, I just have to begin building back up my anime, hentai and porn collections. I feel so empty without them...

Oh well, life sucks wear a helmet. Time to get some fap material.
