Well, that was interesting. That's the sort of thing that, if you enjoy it, you should keep to yourself. It was alright in this case, sine you were refuting it...though to be honest, I've seen worse.
Reminds me of the first time i saw guro though, I was in the middle of my seventh grade year and was looking for hentai and I stumbled onto a guro site. I didn't leave as fast as i should've because what i saw at first wasn't that bad (girl crying blood with a dark background, it coulda been deep...) anyway, I ended up seeing some stuff that was rather...horrid to say the least lol...

well, I don't get off to guro, but I can see how some can on a mental level.
As for just brutality itself, I'm kinda desensitized there. You can thank Mai-Chan's Daily Life for that. The fact that she'll be back to normal again every time takes away any real ability to feel sorry for her pain after a while.
Of course, I've lost a good number of people in my family, including my brother, whose death I was personally responsible for, so there's not really anything that even phases me anymore.

So I'm watching this horror movie and there's this hippie chick with unshaved armpits. seeing that made me want to puke more than any of this guro or dismemberment brutality etc. is that kinda weird lol?

While I'm not particularly bothered by gore, it doesn't turn me on or anything. I've watched surgery being performed, and that didn't bother me. Some forms of torture make me cringe, but it doesn't freak me out. Actually for the most part, I find movie gore quite amusing. These days I don't rate a horror movie on whether or not it scared me (I've been watching them since age 3, so I'm pretty desensitized), but on how good the gore is. Also, usually the people who get off on gore, have some sort of serious mental problems.

but i dislike gore for the heck of it, that is if there isnt a joke or other kind of background story behind it...

i like it. i have some collections of Guro and Brutal Rape hentai. all types of hentais works for me. why? because they're only animation and they dont affect my real life. so there's no problem and i dont have to close my eyes when i saw some of Guro/Brutal Rape hentai.

For intents and purposes I'm quite desensitized to gore/brutality, at least those in games and movies, Can't mention real-life since I have yet to have an experience in such.
Hell when playing games, with rag doll physics, and maybe limb removal, I don't know why.. but I find it funny, at least in specific times.
When it comes to it in stories/hentai... things like tentacle rape, rape in general, and general 'harm' it's not a turn on, but I give it a chance for reading.

well in general my step-grandfather knowingly buys me gorey video games, and i dont think too much about gore. its a part of life. just like anything else.

gore is a part of real life, but i think people take it to light hearted these days because its so gloryfied beacuse of films and the internet. untill you have actualy seen a brutal death you wont understand.
i saw a guy burn to death before and its stuck with me forever. his car exploded and he rang out of the car and rang for a good 30 yards while on fire and was melted allmost.thats was actualy sick. and for people who get off onit, there sick. i mean i have no problem with anyones fetish, but sadists who enjoy things like death and rape are just sick.
but as a pro i think gore in places like films is good because it makes a film feel more lifelike, but some stupid films like the saw series are just stupid and are pathetic because the gore goes past belivable.

I'm an open minded individual when it comes to "offensive" or sexual ideas but, gore is just too much. It doesn't shock me it just pisses me off and makes me want to cut off the hands of the artist who made it.I think the whole beating up and cutting off hands idea is good in theory but not in practice. They're probably going to have a boner from it. You *and I* need a better solution to this problem.

I'm not a fan of gore. I can stand it, it doesn't make me run and hide under the bed or anything, but I don't go out of my way to find it. Frankly I think we're all getting too desensitized to such things.
