Unlike a large number of Americans, the group I am representing, I have actually been to Germany. I will admit your language can scare me at times because I can not tell if you are angry or not. However, the people there are nicer than the people I deal with on a regular basis. One interesting tidbit I learned while over in Germany, your waiters memorize all of their orders, no pen and paper is used. I think that is cool.
Heh... our waiters. Well actually it depends on the size of the restaurant you dine in and the reputation but indeed, in most cases they do remember the faces etc.
Regarding our language: We set it up that way to confuse innocent foreigners. Jokes aside, I don't think the getting angry is that much different from English, except that due to the distance of the pronoun "sie" we put up, it won't be as direct as in English... if your adversary knows the rules of polite language that is.

As long as you guys have Sabine Schmitz, I don't care about anything else. [Seriously, perfect woman!]
In all seriousness, Germany looks like an awesome place to live, were it not for the restrictive gun laws. Though, Germany to me...dunno how to put it...seems kind of chilly and mechanical.
Regarding the gun law: We don't need guns here for the civilians as we can actually trust our police to do what we want them to do. It's not like you have to search for a policemen around here.
Regarding the "chilly mechanical" thing it is sadly one of the things that still clings to us since the time of Prussia back than the German military did a large turnabout and the drill was increased. Last but not least it is also due to the fact that we still use "sie" a formal way of addressing people older than you or at a higher position (e.g. your boss, professor etc). Yes I hate that part aswell but nothing you can do about it :P
Anyways let's put this thread to rest again, it deserves to be WRECKED! :P
if you got questions regarding Germany etc feel free to PM me. However I will NOT reply if you ask regarding Lederhosen, Sauerkraut, Bratwürste, Hitler, Nazi Germany or what we think about Jewish people. If you want to inform yourself regarding those things let's just say that the first 3 are cliches and that Hitler and Nazi Germany are despised amongst the population (except for the usual 2-3% of idiots you have in the country that are retarded) and that we treat Jewish people like those of all other religions.
