I don't like racial slurs to be used in any way,even if it's just friendly banter.But like some people here I don't think you can compare the "n" word to the word "cracker".I mean the "n" word was and is still used as a way to belittle people while "cracker" most of the times I've heard someone use it,the word was meant and received as a comical word.
I'm not white or black so I can't exactly know how I would feel if I were called one of these words,but I do know that I really don't like the "n" word in any way shape or form yet the word "cracker" if it's used as comical word doesn't really seem offensive to me.
I mean the fact that I refer to that word as the "n" word yet don't have any trouble saying "cracker" just shows that one of the words is usually meant to be offensive while the other usually refers to a snack given at school lunches.
