Would you wear fur products?

Just to be clear- I've no problem with fur-lining. It is warm.

But to in regards to my gay statement-

Do you call it your "fur coat" or do you call it your "bomber jacket"?

Because if you Google "fur coat", I dare you to wear any of the results and not look gay.

Add "men" and- yup, still gay

I call all my coats/jackets coats. Maybe its a local thing here where i live, because i was never corrected up till now.

And god forbid i ever put any of the above mentioned examples on my person.

Fur products are too expensive but if I had the opportunity to wear them then yes. Why? Because it can help in the cold. I live in Detroit, Michigan. I would be able to survive the entire winter with that fur coat with ease.

Ok honey, now you're just being anal. But to answer your question, I generally just call it my coat.

Just wanted you to acknowledge the fallacy in your defence; you can't use your coat as an example because it isn't an actual fur coat. Just as you couldn't call a T-34 a tractor even though it uses a tractor engine.

Originally, i didn't care. i thought they killed the animals humanely, then i saw a shock video of how some places get their fur...

I like gore, but not when it's real, not when someone/something is in pain... I couldn't watch it. I skipped part to part to part. watched a 30 min video in less than a minute to give you an idea of just how bad it was to watch...

first they caught the animals in a trap, then clubbed them, smashed them down onto the ground to stun them, so they can then cut off their feet so they don't run. zooms up into their faces, while they are laying on the ground, with their paws all cut off, and their eyes are open, looking around, blinking and its like OH. MY. GOD. they are still alive, still fucking alive, and all these people are just walking around, ignoring them, doing it to more and more poor little animals. Completely normal, no fucks given. disgusting. made me sick. I even actually tried to make myself puke to get rid of the roiling in my stomach D= like puking is bad, but the feeling before puking is worse and actually puking is a relief of that.

then they get clubbed/smashed, again so they can be skinned alive easier. T_T

Anyhow. after watching that, there is no way i am touching fur or leather or anything of the like. just no. no no no. fake fur and pleather/pvc work just fine.

Curious, where was this video taken, like in what country.

And the way you described the video, it doesn't represent the reality of how majority of animals are skinned.

i dunno where it was filmed, and true, but you don't know where your fur came from unless you look into the company you bought it from, how they get their fur, etc etc. even in cases where things claim to be done humanely that is not always true. like how tons of slaughter houses get charged with animal cruelty after being looked into.

the fact that it could come from somewhere like this, and even if it's not you are still promoting an industry that does do this, is what is upsetting...

Well, i know for a fact where the majority of fur comes from and in what conditions they live in so on and so fort, because i work in the fur industry and i have been and worked at fur farms/ranches and i can assure you that the way you described the video doesn't even come close to the reality.

Also, the same skepticism you apply to "where does the fur really come from" can as easily be applied to these type of propaganda videos where they make claims like "this is how all fur is produced" and which are obvious lies. Sure, they have actual video evidence of horrible animal cruelty, but in many cases these videos are filmed in specific locations and in very specific farms and do not represent the reality of the fur industry as a whole.

In USA, Canada and Europe for example, the regulations are so tight that if those things that happened in the video happened in these countries, the farmers would get into some serious shit, like big jail time.
