oh god I think I have to restart everything
I'm in war with NME and they are attacking from Nigata and have attacked Akihabara Tokyo and Nigata (I was attacking Nigata at the time) turn # 45 and I don't think I can keep them at bay I shouldn't have paid shinoda (the engineer guy) 500 bp and the loyalty is a problem too...
so about my restart I have got a few questions....
1) how many eyeless girl units should I hire for district and national chapter
2) Miyazoto Gang or Nakanishi Sisters?
3) The scientist or the nurse?
more questions coming soon....
If it helps for answering my questions I'm aiming for the kunagi route
I'll try to answer a few of them, but my advice is NOT definite.
1) I've managed to get through national's with just 4 eyeless girls, I just kept making curry wolf restaurants *you know how to make these right?*
2) DEFINITELY the Nakanishi sisters! I missed them on my first play through and got my ass kicked in nationals because erika and her gang weren't as good as Kendo and kyudo!
3) If your going to do kunagi's route, you'll need francine for a character clear of igarashi koumi *you can't recruit igarashi on senna's route*. but for your first play, I'd recommend the scientist Ijuuin so that you can get a character clear for kunagi.

2) Miyazoto Gang or Nakanishi Sisters?
3) The scientist or the nurse?
1) I think the best strategy is to bring as many schoolboys and schoolgirls as possible, then don't bother with the Haniwa... however, don't do this at the expense of accruing more debt during the district phase.
2) I've never used the Sisters, but I wasn't impressed by their initial stats on paper, and even if they are good in the end, there's no shortage of respectable mid range fighters (although good long range are harder to come by). The gang isn't too amazing directing, but their support skills are amazing. Ginjou Tomoka's "Tactical Mastery" stacks with Saki's Evade bonus and Shoko's hit bonus,, so with the gang cleared, you can give (20+10) evade and (30+10) hit to every character in the party.
3) I never really used the scientist, but I really like the Nurse's capture rate bonus. It's really helpful to your initial funds to be able to capture in mass then release for bail money.
For those interested, I did a video tutorial to help newbies out. It doesn't have much walkthroguh advice, but it does cover the general game mechanics pretty well.
I've got a question now... barring OCD completionism, is it worth it to get the optional characters in hard mode? Their starting stats absolutely suck, do they have really good stat growth, or really good bonuses for character clears?

Lol Ijuin Tamari the perverted Science Teacher.
basically if you're going for Tenrou Kunagi, Get Ijuin Tamari, cause she needs him for a Star Clear. If not then you can freely Choose Francine.
Comparison of both. Ijuin Vs Francine
Predict Attacks Vs Capture Rate
Good against Machines Vs Good Against Eternal
High ATK, Low HIT Vs Low ATK, High HIT
Low EVA Vs High EVA
Med Range Vs Short Range with above normal CTR
Low Stamina Vs Normal Stamina
All Stats generally Low Vs Low INC LAW and HP
other comparison
Character Clears
Tenrou Kunagi Vs Mori Sonken (blue) and Igarashi Koumi
Personal Character Clears
Needs Yuki Naruse, Senpuuji Yuuna, Cleo Aripa, Shion & NCZakuro
VS
Needs Faceless Ninja, Faceless KAnsai Student, Amon Saito, Guyver Mac (will leave), Watari Hanzou, Kongoumaru Sanzou, and Tsukuyomi Kibito
HCG
1 HCG VS 2HCG
Both Characters have High PAY and LOYALTY Drops faster than average

1) Recruit EVERYONE that you can from the school chapter. Use up all 25 of the turns there to maximize experience and be sure to talk to each one of the generics which will turn their loyalty level to trust, meaning it will not diminish during the National chapter.
2) In terms of overall usefulness, Nakanishi Sisters win handsdown. Kyudo is a decent long range attacker while Kendo has insane growth. Erika is most useful during the earlier chapters and very early on in the National chapter but loses her advantage soon after that.
Another thing to consider is Comet-san vs Murakumo Shizuri. Recruiting Comet-san takes a ton of turns, and since I haven't actually used her, I cant say much about her. But Shizuri is basically a Kendo clone with very sick stat growth. Since she only has advantage vs normal types initially, a lot of the buttons compliment her quite well.
3) Both are pretty much useless for actual combat. The passives are useful at times though. Just depends who you want to clear.

That tutorial about the range advantages is totally wrong btw. Its long > medium > short. Short has no advantage against long.

He means it like: the "high evade + high counter short ranged characters" are probably your best bet against long ranged attackers (in terms of hitting them and not getting hit yourself). Which seems to be right.

Ok, from the counter rate perspective, I guess thats true.
I'm about to finish the game for the 3rd time.
I'm currently at turn 95. by turn ~75 I took all of japan already and have been working on getting CGs and character clears and even though I use the walkthrough -
I STILL CAN'T GET JINNAI HEITA's LAST STAR! ARGH!
what am I missing? I got all the previous 4 stars, I got his super sayia mode with his uber punch, I used it like 15 times by now, so unless he is going to be 200 years old I have to be missing something, WHAT?
* Speak to him 4 times in the Companion Phase.
* Station him with Hibiki Sanae (日比生咲苗) in the same region. An event should start at the beginning of the turn.
* Station him with Naruse Yuuki (æˆç€¬æœ‰ç´€) in the same region. An event should start at the beginning of the turn.
* Station him in Kumamotou (熊元) and he'll go missing. Trigger the event "陣内兵太ã®æœç´¢" for him to return. (This is also part of what is explained in the first note below)
* Obtained when the skill "Ten Years Knuckle" is used 7 times; they only seem to count when used on overground battles (not on dungeons). Also, obtaining this star will make him die.
According to the wiki.
I can't seem to get Naruse Yuuki to turn into the female version. I followed the wiki, but the last event never occurred.
I haven't got it either...apparently its very low priority.
I've also never seen it. It's gotta be either timeline restricted or have some additional parameter(s) not listed in the wiki. I've had them sitting together with gall the supposed parameters met, and gotten no start of turn events. Even if it's at the very end of the queue, if you've got nothing else, it would ideally pop up.
heey guys, quick question, can u only go on hawaiian vacation once throughout a whole run-through o__o
It only seems to be available at certain times, and you can go multiple times. Each time the price increases by 500. I'm not sure weather it is triggered by doing something, or simply by the number of turns.
I think it only appears when one of your units loyalty is in the red zone, otherwise you dont have to worry about them leaving you. The larger your group, the more it costs.
