i couldn't successfully keep NPI off my back so I've started a new game and I've just defeated PGG, who should I attack first? Nightmare eyes or NPI?
I really need a quick answer cuz I'll try to put the game off for a while until a recommended course of action is suggested.

Which unit is better francine or the teacher guy>? And are the kendo sisters better than the deliquents on the roof?

Aww. I'm playing on Senna's route right now, so I did NME before NPI because the NPI has more Senna related plot. For my Kunagi route, I'm planning on going through the NPI before the NME.

Anyone manage to hold Hell Hole until the end of the game? I always gave up around turn 50, the Pandas are unexpectedly tough lol.I'm currently on turn 72 against the Skull Serpents and I've been holding Hell Hole the entire time. Free easy exp for people like Shirayuri Sayuri and Yuuna. Just put a ranged unit that has advantage against normal types and that should hold it quite easily since the zombie guys have 0% counter and the pandas are normal type.

Not sure about Francine vs. Tamari, but based on their stats, seems like they are both pretty bad attacking units. Their main purpose is their passive abilities. Also, Tamari is needed for Kunagi's character clear. Just wanted to point that out.
I haven't used the Nakanishi sisters yet, but their type advantages would make them useful against the NME and NPI. Erika and her gang are useful early, but soon lose their edge once you hit the National Chapter.
Oh yeah, if you going for Erika and her gang, also get Negishi Nanana since Abao Akuu is needed for Comet-san's character clear. I messed up and got Mizuki instead T_T, so I can't clear Comet-san.

Aargh its really frustrating playing without the graphical patch and i keep making tactical errors. In my first play through I got to the district chapter without realizing the point of the companion phase (i.e i wasted all kinds of potential upgrades to units)
I beg to differ about the doc versus the nurse coz the doc has superior attack vis a vis the nurse but his accuracy seems terribad.
in any case, has anyone actually found a use for the hero's brother? i mean he doesnt seem to be able to do much.
Also i think theres some kind of weapons triangle going on. The long range can attack mid range without retaliation but get hit by short range after the short range takes damage, the short range can attack all 3 but have the advantage of being able to attack long range after attack, mid range can attack short range with a higher chance of parry. (this is all observation so dont flame me lul)
anyways PLEASE SOMEONE ANYONE upload the graphical patch on mediafire or something. Im tired of not realizing simple yet important aspects of the game i.e the bp upgrades page. So please upload the graphical patch gents.

Overall, I guess Tamari would make a better attacker since he has medium range, but that HIT stat is so damn bad.
Your theory on the range is wrong. Basically when a character goes up against another character of greater range and is hit, the counterattack % comes into play. So the advantage goes in order of: Long, Medium, Short. Short range has no advantage over the longer range types. However, this disadvantage is usually offset by Short range characters having higher counterattack rates, so they can get their attack off even when pre-emptively struck.
If you check the character page on Alice wiki, you'll see that you are supposed to station Zanma Gou in certain locations and he will discover places for more events.

What does the (CTR) stat mean? I did an event with Burai and got an item that ups the (CTR) stat by 99+? I've searched the parameter section of Alicesoft's faq but I can't find any info?

I read some of the questions on this page and I have to say...
THE WALKTHROUGH WAS NOT WRITTEN BY GOD.
I mean, really, AliceSoft was not counting on the walkthrough to get people through the game. It's good if you have dilemmas or want to know how to get char clears, but its not the only absolute way to get through the game!
On my first go, After wiping the PGG I went straight for NPI. (for some reason vampire nation seemed harder) and killed them all. was not that hard too. and only then I was attacked by nightmare eyes. So as you can see, many ways to go about things.
True, it's easier to go for NE before NPI but you don't have to reload and waste your work on the last turns just because you didn't.

I kinda thought of something. Since there is really no true upkeep, you should try to recruit every turn, even the junk units. WHen it hits the turn 4 interval and you don't want to pay the upkeep, simply fire them and it will deduct from the upkeep.

But you are wasting interrogation and releases. You can randomly get items from interrogation and releasing 21 prisoners will net an +20 evade item.

Station Marine in Nara and the event will happen. Pretty sure this event is low priority too.
