Description:
Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student who dislikes his life. However, Tomoya finds that his life is about to change when he meets Nagisa. Tomoya's mother (Atsuko) died when Tomoya was young, leaving his father (Naoyuki) to raise him. After the accident, Tomoya's father turned to alcohol and gambling, and held frequent fights with his son. One day, Naoyuki, again arguing with his son, slammed Tomoya against the wall, dislocating Tomoya's shoulder. Ever since then, his father has treated Tomoya nicely, but distantly, as if Tomoya and he were strangers rather than a family. This hurts Tomoya more than his previous relationship with his father, and the awkwardness of returning home leads Tomoya constantly to stay out all night. Additionally, the injury disables Tomoya from participating in his basketball club, and pushes him to distance himself from his school and other activities. Thus his delinquent life begins.
Tomoya's psychology is further developed in his dreams of a bleak world. In the first few dreams of that kind, he sees a world which is devoid of all people except for this one girl, whom is never shown but is spoken of. Each time he dreams he finds out more about the world. Later on, Tomoya finds out that the girl has a special ability to fuse junk together to create new things, with which she creates a body for him. Thus he is reborn in this world, and fills time following the girl around. Tomoya conceives that only the two of them are "alive".
Setting:
The first half of the story takes place at a high school in Japan, which is the best school in the city where the story takes place. This high school is largely modeled after the University of Tsukuba-affiliated junior-high and high school Komaba in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. Throughout the story, glimpses into an Illusionary World are shown. This world is devoid of all life except for a young girl, though she later makes a body out of junk pieces through which the player can interact with her. The remaining half of the story takes place in the same city, albeit ten years after the conclusion of the first half.
Read the READ ME! file for how to install the voices and English Patch.
I might actually have an excuse to download Clannad now since I've been meaning to for a long time but havent because of the long amount of time it will take me. (18+ hours anybody?)
Well anyways thanks.
I've been reluctant to play this since I went ahead and watched the Anime first. Is the Anime and this pretty different? Well I assume Nagisa's path would be pretty damn similar. Thus, is it worth me playing for the other paths? (ie. story-wise still good as well as length).
Also thanks for the upload. Even if I decide not to download it now it's good to know an active member will be there to reupload dead links. o.o

Tomoyo's route is worth buying the game itself imo. So yeah, even if you've seen the anime this is still a must play. Especially if you haven't seen after story.
Anyway, these aren't really mirrors, but they're the original files that edenyaksha had uploaded (now in mediafire instead of megaupload). They were spread throughout the posts, but here they are if you want to use them.
And yes, I did upload these.

So you opened up the gameexe.ini in notepad and changed the appropriate lines and then saved right? If you're pretty sure you did then open it up in notepad, screen shot it and let me take a look at it. the lines that you changed and added should all be together. As in right below one another.
