I have no problem installing on my windows 7. Maybe your processor cant handle the game? The same thing happened to me a while back when I was using an older computer to play chaos head but it worked fine after upgrading its perfomance.
PS computer specs are not my forte just saying from experience :p

I'm pretty sure my computer can handle this game. It can play 1080p .mkv files with little to no lag. If it requires higher specs than that, I just don't know what to say. Do I need to get a quad core with 4 gigs+ of ram to run this thing? There has to be some other reason.

Can you give more explanation about the crash? Like SS perhaps. Did you get the crash when playing the game? For starters try to backup your save data and reinstall the lite installer.

It happens when I try to launch the installer. I mentioned this in my previous posts. I have tried restarting my laptop and relaunching the installer, but it still crashes. I have also tried downloading from all the sources, and it still does not resolve the issue. It's just a typical program has stopped responding crash. Note that the installer does not even pop up; just crashes upon opening.

Well Minori is being a dick about their stuff, so NNL is kinda trolling back by blocking all Japanese IPs to their site, just like when non-Japanese IPs try to access the Minori site.
