Ok i'm having problems installing Muv-Luv E/U, but I'm having an unusual problem. I can't seem to find a solution anywhere

I installed muv-luv Extra. It runs great. It is english and all that.
However when I try to start Muv-Luv Unlimited, it gives me an error. Apparently it wants the disk to be mounted. I mount the Muv-luv Unlimited disk and the game runs, but it's not translated!

How do I correctly install this game? I want to play both parts but I can only get one part to work!

Uninstall the game and use the second method I mentioned on my upload.

i tryed that it's not working the way your post says it should be.

Here is what I get.

1. I mount the extra dvd
2. run the patch
3. patch says it's not the correct version (not sure why because i got everything together)
4. files install. It never asks me to mount anything. Oddly enough if I don't have anything mounted it does the same thing.
5. game doesn't work. I get an error

i know that if I run the installer on the cd and that run the patch I have no problem getting the game to run, however Muvluv Unlimited is not in english.

what am I doing wrong?

Is your system region on jap? Not just the locale?
Use other program to mount the files. If you're using my files you shouldn't get this problem.
Of course, don't forget to also use admin and compatibility mode.

well my problem is really wierd.

I got muv-luv extra to work. It went fine. As you mentioned I had to do the things like setting unicode to japanese and ran it as system administator.

When I went to start muvluv unlimited, I get an error. Apparently it needs the CD. Ok so I mount the CD and the game runs, but it's not translated.

What I want to get the game to install and while installing have it ask me to mount the unlimited cd and install the game. People say that is what it asks me to do, but not for me.

I must be doing something wrong, because I installed it the same way on another computer and had the same problem.

Which program are you using to mount the files?
Try changing it.

i'm usig daemon tools. Which one should I use?

I'm not familiar with other programs besides Daemon Tools but there's PowerISO for example. Also, try checking link

I got it to work.

Here is what happened

In the past I botched up an installation for muv-luv, so to start over I went to add/remove programs and Uninstalled. The problem is that this only gets rid of the translation patch. So to get rid of the rest I just deleted the contents of the install folder. Bad idea.

Apperently that screwed it up. I could get the patch for extra to work, but I thought unlimited was already installed so it when it was time for unlimited to work, all I needed was the cd, but it would not be in english

The Moral: If you need to uninstall this game. Mount the Muv luv extra CD and select uninstall. This is the only way to get a fresh start for this.

After I did that I got it to work. go figure.

You dont need a walkthrough for alternative there is only one predetermined course the answers are pretty simple and as far as I know there are no bad ends.
