Oh, nvm. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the actual text of the choices, but rather the choice numbers. Something's still wrong with the guide, though. It's definitely not load save point C. I also got a bit confused because every ending besides Ayamine's has a choice that says must complete unlimited once first, so I thought meant I had to go down Ayamine's route first.

No, actually, I'm pretty confident most choices that appear after completing are for Yuuko route specifically. At least, that's what I think. I'm pretty sure you can do any other girls' route besides Yuuko on first try.
Also, Yuuko's route ends sooner then others, so it has less choices.
Another thing: the Alternative patch really does translate things only until ending of Coup d'etat Arch, unless I downloaded an old version (aka the original patch), or did something wrong when installing it. However, I still got to see F-22A Raptor mechs. And they're one of more awesome mech designs I've seen in a loooooonnnnggggg while.

The Alternative Patch translates the whole game. I guess you didn´t copy the new Data File to your Muv Luv Directory.

Wait, does that mean that I should've installed all MuvLuv games into same directory? Since in my case I have Muv Luv Extra/Unlimted in one directory and Alternative in separate one.

It doesnt really matter where you install the game.
Just apply the Patch, copy the new "data.ami" in your MuvLuv Alternative directory and then sit back and enjoy the full translation.

I first copied the data.ami and then applied the patch.
Now though, I first installed the patch, and then copied the data. Now, it all works.

While I'm not sure how big the original one was, the patch's data.ami is supposed to be around 4,200 - 4,300 KB.

really good vn just finished extra unlimited and alternative and i must say i was really pleased with it especially extra and alternative the only thing i hated was the parts when they supposedly were speaking english, that was some really bad english i mean they could have picked some random turist from the street pay a few dollars and make it real english not some japanese dude trying to pronounce what he couldnt.
anyway i really reccomend it
pd: the originall patch for alternative is only like 70% of the game you have to get the one they leaked to get the full translation

OMG Just started playing ALT and my ears are bleeding from that Engrish. I agree that grabbing a random tourist off the street would have been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that.
