how the killers were portrayed. I've had my fair share of fictional murderers through manga, anime, movies and the like, but Kusaka and Shinji were both so utterly twisted and deranged that they left me speechless, especially in some scenes. Rokushiki was a madman as well, granted, but he was just a religious fanatic-turned-egomaniac, despite how brutal his crimes were. I'd say that, if Kusaka was the most gruesome of the trio, Shinji was definitely the most mentally deranged and disturbing.

was Tojiko's death. Never saw that coming, and when it came, it hit hard. Toko's fate in the first four endings was also pretty hard to stomach. =\

Toko never really had any chance of a happy end, ever...
and in most of them she's even dead. . .
And never expected tojiko to die as well . . . Thought true end would save her . . .

The train scene at the end of the game leaves lots of unanswered questions. Is the guy with the egg Shinji? If he is, will he keep his killing spree, and why did he gave the egg away? Will the boy that received the egg become another obsessed maniac, fulfilling the "neverending story" narrated in The Egg of Neanis? Is the girl inside the egg Toko? And what about the disappearance of Misa's corpse? And finally, what is Toko's fate? Will she become another objet d'art like her mother, will she die peacefully, or (wishful thinking) will she survive somehow?

I believe the train scene was an earlier scene in which the doctor( forgot his name) gave shinji the egg. It is the egg where toko's remains resides and I believe she has already passed away at the time of transfer.
There is no way toko remains unscathed, because the writers really, really, REALLY hates giving her a happy end. It's unfortunate because she's one of the most likable characters ingame. I really like her sarcasm at times ^_^.

Rokushiki (the doctor whose name you forgot) stated clearly that he didn't give a damn about Toko, all he cared about was Misa and, to a certain degree, Celes (hence the scene where he recognized Stella while under arrest). Also, Shinji had already disappeared with Toko way before Misa was discovered and Reiji confronted Rokushiki. Also, the boy on the train who receives the egg is referred to as a "young boy", while Shinji is 21 years old ("he could've been in his teens or well in his thirties", quoting from the game). And Rokushiki himself is in no way in his thirties, I mean look at him, to me he looks over fourty. That's why I say that the train scene leaves too many questions unanswered, because it's deliberately ambiguous. Oh well, until the sequel.

Also, I agree with you about Toko, too bad she got a friend like Mizuhara =_= .

following the "True Ending" path of the game - that is, where you manage to do most of the investigations right, save Shugo's wife and capture Kusaka alive, you come to a point where, while visiting the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum you encounter Stella, where she leaves after a brief conversation. There she drops a pendant, which then forces you to go through with the True Ending after the scene at Shinzo's house (where you discover Misa's corpse). Replaying the game I found that I could do pretty much everything till that point BUT, if I didn't have the pendant, then the subplot about Celes wouldn't trigger and I could go to the ending where, while the truth behind Rokushiki isn't discovered, Shinji is captured alive. Can someone remember on which day that conversation with Stella happens? I'd be grateful if I could already know it without having to replay the game just to find out when.
