Hah, I should finish these arcs when it's near bedtime, cuz finishing them in the middle of the day when I''ve got a class just kinda doesn't feel right lol. Well with that said, I finished Shizune's arc, my third arc, while my first and second are Emi and Rin, in the middle of the day, well it took me around 4 days, since I'm a pretty slow reader, taking my time to get the dialogue through, and overall enjoying the antics of the student Council. Having read quite a lot of opinions on Shizune, I can't really disagree to those who felt that it was very drawn out storywise, that Hisao and Shizune didn't act as much a couple, (Imho Emi's arc was pretty romantic), and all that is said about Shizune in general, but the important part was that I enjoyed it. To all of those who felt that Hisao and Shizune weren't as "romantic" or "couply", I would say otherwise, since after digesting what had happened throughout the arc, and understanding the ending I got (I haven't gotten the bad ending yet, but perhaps I will to see it out), Shizune and Hisao were in fact close, (That sounds incredibly obvious, but that much is true). The detachment of some of the H scenes that people have said were random, appeared to me otherwise, as well timed. Sure at first they surprised me, but then It kinda made sense, given the kind of person Shizune is and Hisao is to her. they aren't forced at all. Shizune being the busy body of the student council, Hisao admiring her work, really do seem distant at times. But given the right time and place, they really do try to connect (In the most literal sense). With that reasoning, all those opinions that had steeped well into my mind, don't seem as harsh. Call me a hopeless dreamer if you may, but the ending wasn't out there too much. From what I've heard there really isn't a friend ending to Shizune's arc, and I'm perfectly fine with the fact that Hisao's graduating, everyone seems sorted out, and hurrah the ending! (The final set of H scenes was pretty invigorating, 2 positions? HELL YEAH). my take on the additional characters (such as Hideaki and their Dad) is that although they seem pointless, since they left out some strange facts on Shizune, They were overall funny, I wish my dad was like their dad (Igoro was he?), all harsh and jokingly at the same time. Her family is just what calms the tension of Hisao and Shizune in a sense down, cuz even sometimes, they seem awkward.
Hearing quite a lot of hype on Lily and Hanako, I still can't get over what I really wanna do about Lily (I really don't think I should give her try) But I guess Hanako is next. All in All, Shizune was super duper. Perhaps the first girl I've really taken a liking to around the first the run, cuz she was just so damn cute!
