I'd probably die if I had to play all the game again. It just tore my heart apart with a mixture of feelings that I cannot even explain.I feel the same.
But still it makes me happy to play the story of another girl. Just finished Shizune's route, though.

Finished Hanako's story, not sure which route to go on next...Which one did you clear before Hanako's route? If you haven't finished Emi's route, I would suggest to play her story. It's a really good one.

Do as you would if you where her real friend. That's what I did.

I'm really astonished by this game. I played it several hours per day just to finish it completely and i really should have done others things. But be real with myself ... i never want to miss this experience. And i really fail to bring it down to words.
On a site note: I think Emi's ending is the best. I like the nearly 'realistic' storyline and foremost, the ambitions to actually do something against his own weakness! Because in every other route, he seems to just accept that he no longer can do what he wants, but with Emi he tries to overcome this fact and go even further.

I went for Rin. I have no idea why. Rin's my favourite, but she has nothing that truly attracts me, per se. I feel like the game is a personality test of sorts: "who did YOU go for? HA! You're PASSIVE AGGRESIVE!" But Rin. God, I have no idea. I guess cos she's fucking cute in a lost puppy sort of way. She's also irreverently insane, which is always fun.
I think I went for her because she seemed the saddest. She seemed the one that needed the most care. I wanted to make her happy, with hugs. And her happy ending is one of the most positive, uplifting things I have ever read in my entire life. But in hindsight, it makes no sense why I found her the most appealing.
Then again, Mishu and Shizune are total assholes, Lilly is a stuck-up snob, Emi is an over-achiever, and Hanako is deceptive and anti-social. No-one left but Rin, who is... the most morally ambiguous girl of them all. ...that could explain it. She was the least shit. :\

Woah I'm rather put off by your description of her being "shit" but I suppose that's understandable. I share your opinion of Rin being the kind of lost puppy kind of girl. But what really stuck to me first was Shizune, she struck me as the most hottest lol. With all these emotions, I went with Emi being the most in-experienced person with visual novels I still am. But after finished 4/5 of the girls, I can't say I hated any of them (that's just me being super optimistic). Rin's especially, I was pretty torn through out her arc, because it was the fact that she was too insane for words that made me incapable of what I had to do... Like I've noted before, she was really a emotional roller coaster ride. And her being that, I guess it explains the happiness I got after the good ending, and the wreck in my head from the bad ending. It seems to be that she's the most unobtainable girl in the whole game, but then again I haven't played Lily tbh.
Overall though, I just Finished Hanako's arc with a good ending. All in all, She was enjoyable, cute, and at times unpredictable in her advances, but that only served to make me laugh harder.

Never heard of this until fakku posted about it. Downloaded it. Started playing it. OMG! Love It! I only have 2 and a half hours of play time so far and thats from one sitting. Had to stop and go to work :/ About to start playing again :D Thank you so much Fakku! Katawa Shoujo is awesome! I absolutely love Hanako :D I think I'm making the right choices :) I'll find out I guess

Okay so i have finally finished all routes, I wont include any spoliers in this but overall im am just in awe, the 5 years was worth it. I do have prefferences but all storylines where on par with each other, and they were all amazing.
So since I have finished this anyone got any good follow ups to this? If you have a suggestion please make sure it is on par with Katawa Shoujo, sorry if I sound stuck up, i just wanna go from somthing awesome to somthing equally as good :)

try actually doing the other girls modes before you comment on their behavior, everyone has reasons for whom they are
and none of the girls are what you said par from rin because you actually spent time on her
- Shizune, is the bossy type and likes to be aggresive in her life, shes no A-hole but more of a fighter type, shes likes competition and although she isnt personally my type of girl some poeple find that very attractive
- Lily, since when was she stuck up? She had a high class upbringing and naturally exerts some of that in her speech, but she is the complete opposite of stuck up
- Emi, lost both of her legs and was told that she would be able to run again, thus she worked her legs off (pun intened) to overcome her obstacles no matter what, so if anything she deserves to be called a over-achiever
- Hanako, personally ccant say nothing as i havent reached her story yet and you dont really learn much about her through others, but if you look through the others posts on this and similar threads theres alot of love for her
so instead of wasting you time raging about people you dont know... why dont you just go through the storylines?
