Has anyone gotten the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC? I got it yesterday and it was fuckin' awesome. I stayed up till 2:30 in the morning playing through it to finish it and on the Hardcore difficulty too. I kept dieing over and over but it was worth it to get the "Hard Way" achievement for it. I don't want to spoil too much for those that haven't played it but you get Liara, temporarily, as a squad mate.
How long did it take you to beat? I want to play it rather like a movie so maybe in one or two sittings if I can.
Mass Effect is like the only "hardcore" game I've ever played and it was AWESOME. (Except Final Fantasy but that's not that hardcore)
I think I downloaded it, Overlord, the infinite points exploit/mining patch, T_T, and the various armor & weapons packs, (that I had missed over the summer because I have crappy dial-up at home but uber-fast internet in my dorm room), around 9p.m. I started on Overlord first. I beat that around 11 p.m. though I missed the Data Hound achievement.
Then I started on the Shadow Broker mission a little after that. Lets see about 3 and a half hours but that's only because I was trying to fly through it as fast as I could on Hardcore mode and not looking around for credits. Plus I was using a lv 30 Soldier class post-suicide mission with all powers fully evolved and Area Reave as the loyalty bonus power. However it was still really fun and really hard. I lost count of how many times I died. The final boss of the DLC was pretty damn tough though on Hardcore. I'd hate to see what its like on Insanity.
I've only played on Hardcore difficulty for one mission besides this one and that one was Tali's recruitment mission because if you play through it on Hardcore or higher difficulty you get a Geth Pulse Rifle. I'm probably going to have to start up a new game to get the fully integrated experience. For those that haven't played it yet I would definitely suggest waiting until post-suicide mission to do so. The ending to it is freaking awesome, and in my opinion at least, just as awesome as the ending to the suicide mission, if not better. Finish it and you'll see why.
In short, this DLC mission is something you'll wanna play in ONE sitting because of the sheer awesomeness.
edit: @Sanders: what bug are you talking about?
