does anyone have instructions for how to do it using a cd instead of mounting...I dont really think....you can....burn it into a CD...since the ISO is big, maybe a DVD would work, just burn the ISO onto the DVD then mount it and use the english installer...never tried it tho, too much trouble too.
But surely why cant you mount it? Did you use daemon tools or any other mounting software?
What was the reason for it not functioning? Did the English installer not detect the file you mounted?

The english patch ain't working for me. I'm able to install it, but when I go to the Sengoku Rance English folder and click on the System40 I get all these errors. It tells me things like Failed to read [ Rance7DLL.inc ].
edit: Never mind. I read everyone's comments, and found one that help solved the problem.

This game doesn't have a time limit dose it? I suspected it might since it has "Turns".

It kinda have, in alicesoft wiki, it does say that in turn 90 things do change. As 5 gourds are open, that series of events leading to Honnoji temple attack ensue. So I think you have to train the troops and get lots of money till turn 90. I've made this error in the first play and in turn 99 Nobunaga was attacking from three sides... :( I restarted all over.
But it's very tricky, 'cause even if you don't conquer those countries that have gourd, if another country conquer, that country gourd is sent to Xavier. I was expecting to get the 4th gourd against Kenshin, but no. That masked guy of the north conquered that glasses guy, and that gourd went to Xavier...
Another thing, it does seem unrelated but if I try to attack those musketeers guy, That huge guy Mori? takes the country with a gourd inside, so conquering Kenshin now is my best option before the first assault against Xavier
But maybe you can train individually(developing relations with other characters) without time limit in that time after the rescue of the princess but before the Honnoji assault.

Ok, i'm a super noob to this + i suck with computers so i have no idea what this error is about. It says:
"Runtime (at 25:102150):
The parameter is incorrect"
I dont know if this is because i mucked up or because i need to change something or whatever, anyone who can help (even if its ranting about how they hate people asking stupid things like this) it would be much appreiciated. Thanks in advance :)
Oh and i get the error when i try to install the game files using the english patch both custom and quick give me this message.

After that you're done with the extraction and all you have to do is mount the iso and use the English install patch to install the game instead of the native one that pops up automatically

Oh god. Finally beat this thing after easily 30 hours and 3 replay attempts. Not to mention the backtracking and redoing the same fight 50 times. This game is hell if you don't have patience.
Any chance we'll see a we'll see a CG release some day soon? :D?

For everybody having the problem above, your computer is unable to read the file since its a japenese file. To fix this go to control panel > Regional and Language options. Click the locations tab and switch from USA to Japan. Next (this should only apply to vista users) under administrative again switch the langaugee to japanese. Restart your computer and install.
Any chance we'll see a we'll see a CG release some day soon? :D?

ok got that. but after extracting i cant find the .iso file where do i get that?

the game folder u got from instaling the game. or u can just dubble klick the patch file and instal the game that way just mount the iso file after and it should work.
