Advice for anyone finding the game to be excessively difficult:
A) Don't worry about your score. It doesn't matter if it goes to 0 in your first playthrough.
B) Take your time. Even if things seem impossible, the game will make things easier after a certain number of turns. This rule generally applies when the demon army attacks.
C) Call for reinforcements multiple times.
D) Recuit as many decent (stats equal to or higher than 4) units possible.
E) Upgrade your units. Once they get to 7/7 affection, then you'll be able to upgrade their abilities. Useful abilities off the top of my head include:
-Initial battle rating (all units)
-Defeated warrior hunter (all units)
-Light attack (Bushi)
-<stat> luck (all units)
-Decrease battle rating (tacticians)
-White Destruction Beam / Rapid-Fire Cannon (Mage/Cannon units)
-Aimed shots (Uruza)
-Assassination 2 (Ninja)
-All defense shikigami (Diviner)

I'd reccomend only resorting to a walkthrough for your first play if you're really, really stuck; the game is actually not that difficult as long as you don't try to rush.

Ok, I gotta ask.
Where the hell do I find those lemons for Miki? If they're in another territory; I'm fucked. I'm barely keeping Nobunaga troops at bay
You'll find the lemons in the dungeon within the aptly named "Mikan" provence, located center-bottom of the map. I'm pretty sure they mention the place in the plot.
