You can either mount the .iso file virtually or burn it to a CD. These instructions are for mounting it. For mounting I recommend using DAEMON Tools, and these instructions assume that you are using it (but it should be very similar with other programs). Once DAEMON Tools is installed and running (you may need to restart after the first install), left click the icon in the taskbar and bring up this menu: Click on the empty device and select the Rance 7 ~ Sengoku.iso file from above. The .iso file should be mounted, navigate to the virtual drive and load als_inst.exe Step 4 (Patch) Spoiler:Run the patch and make sure it is pointing at the correct install directory. When it's done patching you will find the game in you start menu in the folder Sengoku Rance English. You can now play the game! If you have problems you should first look at this tutorial and FAQ topic.

Omg ! when im mounting it , it always says E:\GAMEDATA\Movie\????.alm and some weird characters .. I had such high hopes for this day when i finished dl-ding the game , but i cant play it T.T

Okay big question here...

Anyone know what determines the pseudo-random upgrades you get to choose when going for satisfaction upgrades? I want to upgrade my replenishment reduction ASAP but it usually not available.

Edit.... I did some japanese googling and came up with this answer:

However, that still leaves some nice ambiguity. For my first replenishment upgrade in my latest game, it would not allow me to select the reduction until I purchased either an old man or the cat. I went along with it because very consistently I was able to purchase the upgrade right after getting one or the other.

Edit 2:
I played around with an old game save where I had a satisfaction bonus waiting for me at turn 46ish. The second replenishment cost reduction was definitely available on turn 51. No funny upgrades needed to be chosen ahead of time, but I'm not sure what the what parameters might been met, given that it was my 9th upgrade for that game.

Edit: OMFG DEMON ARMY TOOK OVER ALL THE OTHER PART OF JAPAN!!! i only have the middle part of Japan (no more than 5 country) ><! OMFG! anyone can help me? (they cant stop atking me ==)

Yeah that's what happened to me in the first run through the game, then I figured hell I'm going to get a score of 0 anyways so might as well buff up all of my characters. Currently I own about 10 - 15 countries and the Demon Army has gotten both sides of the map but I'm holding somewhat strong since I have 3 units now that attack on their own, well did before.

Try installing via AppLocale. Atleast it solved the problem for me.

How do i beat beat dokuganryu masamune in the 1v1 fight? I beat his whole army but cant seem to beat him. I do tell him he cant use eye drops. But with only 3 attacks i lose. Ive tryed having the queens in my group and having troops equiping the seal that lets u attack the youkai nation. But its always a 1v1 fight.
And Im guessing that to get the last of the 4 queens i have to get the king to restore her?
*edit* Rance's level is 50 atm.
Solved. spent about 4 hours leveling rance to 60 then got lucky and he used a eyedrop at the start of the fight.

Don't worry about the event, it becomes immediate in the kenshin territories when you've sacked them and rescued kenshin, the event is also pretty obvious in name so there's little room for error.

but in kenshin territories i see no event that seem related to kenshin what should i do

Once you get to a certain point in the story, you'll take over the whole country except for the Demon Army being on the lower left and the Youki Country on the top right. At that point you can recruit almost all the characters you want to like Kenshin.

I can't recruit prisoners somehow(i only have 20 commanders),
i'm trying to recruit Kazu-whats-his-name from the akashi(or something) clan
to beat the demon army.....
But i can't >_<.

It's becose u need more national power i think.
u can get more from developing those blue point's, u can also see how mutch u have and what ur cost's are at the bottom.

No just the first time so to save money it's a good think to just fall back and let them take over a few places consentrat on defeating just one of them at a time u have to play it smart rule nr.01 always use scout.

I never knew you can recruit Kenshin in a First Play...
till now,at least.
Kenshin really rapes people,but Uruzu(Wrong Spelling?) has better stats

Having a lot of National Power is useful for many different things, so try to keep that above your Cost and you'll be fine. The Demon Army will start attacking only once later on in the game, like at the point where I'm at now. Kenshin to me is alright, I probably could make her epicly strong but ehh I'd have to try some things out.

Use battle permits (you get them when fighting the demon army and as a bonus option).

Okay good, get him to trust and have him get his special ability (hibachi) through the event. If you don't mind, get him to 6 stats too because when he gets hibachi he gets +2 to all stats under 7 (though at this point, if your getting the youkai, it's a bit of extra effort that won't really change much). When you have it, you can beat the cyclops girl and capture her (remember, you don't need to win to get her). You can't do much about the huge spearman guy, just kill everyone else and push the meter when the next battle rolls around (once you get hibachi).

edit: more help than that, I'd need to know what you have to work with.

Ok I'm at this part and I'm trying to get the Generals from the Youkai army... I have all but the one you need Masamune or and Nogiku (the cyclops) well I've fought the chick like 15 times (saved and loaded) with Akaski, without, in the back, every combo... cant get her, the hibachi is a passive ability right? I mean I did the event to give her to him, but it doesnt show up as a skill...

So the question is am I doing something wrong or am I just unlucky as all get out?

Problem is they get revoked when things get heated with the Deamon army :|
