Sengoku Rance

LOL Frick. I made one mistake in this game and it was on like turn 10... I never conquered Ashikaga house... I settled with them. So now I have like a 25% chance they're going to try to use a useless miko in my army, and I cant further Kenshins story line :(

There is no way to break a truce right? :|

Another question, can I still clear all the youkai girls (except the one who turns into a stone) after Masumane is in my army? I didnt realize he had to not be a part to get them clear. So Can I get the blonde girl from him, dismiss him and than clear all the other Youkai girls? Or do I have to clear them before he joins? :?

Yeah, I think you're SoL there. On that note, WTF are you doing making vassals on your second play? I seemed really pointless after doing it once on my first play and I determined I'd never do it again.


Okay, so I've got a question. Is there some additional parameter required to uncurse Mouri beyond what's listed in the wiki walkthrough? In my Yamamoto playthrough, I recruited Sakamoto Ryouma, and never got the purple event in Izumo. I did Sakamoto's character clear while still holding the Izumo Province, then I lost izumo because the game was really sluggish about giving me Operation Permits (three fronts without those is brutal), then came back after recruiting all the takuga commanders in my prison and retaking Izumo, still no purple event.

Similarly, how do you get Houjou Soun? Nanjo Ran died in both my Yamamoto and Kenshin playthroughs at the bottom of the oil cave. Admittedly, in both cases I think I waited until her leaving was imminent, rather than going ASAP.
Edit: Nevermind- he just joined me after several turns of gameplay on my Yamamoto Route.

And no this is my first play though... I just am trying to get everyone cause I a stikler like that :oops:

Then it's a total non issue. You can't do Kenshin's route (or Yamamoto or Ran) on the first play. As long as you didn't make peace with the Uesugi usurpers you're good.

Lol oh ok yea I forgot Kenshin is an acual route... and also what about the amazonian chick? which route is that you get to clear her? cause it doesnt seem to work on the normal one :?

She's supposedly available in both the normal route and the Yamamoto route. The wiki "walkthrough" doesn't mention anything specific about how to recruit her, so I'm guessing you need to take her in battle, probably before taking Senken Nagato- because after that it's more demons and youkai than humans.

Oh your telling me... she's working for me know, but I didnt seem to be getting any ??? events so we'll see.

And yes it was a freaking pain to catch her :lol:

1. Talk to her at 7 Hostile to get her to Normal
2. After seeing the event where Shimazu Yoshihisa dies, talk to her at 7 Normal to see her H event and get her to Trust
3. Talk to her at 7 Trust, where she asks you to make her army the largest single unit in your army.
4. After making her army the largest unit, talk to her again to see a variation of her H scene and to get her to Love and clear her events. Note: There are two events within Shimazu House territory where she raises her unit's numbers by 1000 each. You can also try reducing the max army size of other larger units in your army temporarily, or using items #72 or #73 if you see fit.

I'm not positive what that second note means. If you aren't seeing any purple events when she's got affection points maxed out, then you may need to spam rance's harem in Owari until you get a scene there (keep in mind this is total conjecture).

Well I got it too work, I dont know maybe I just needed to have conquered Cario or something? any way She is up in trust now but I think the wikia is off because she starts at normal not Hostile. :?

The question is is step 2 there something where I have to find the Shimazu brother? or does it happen automatically when I get to love like the Blonde Youkai did (Wiki says its an automatic event but I had to get her to love before it happened) :?

ETA: Man Omachi(the last youkai you get) is seriously over powered, by the time I cleared her she could take down a whole force with just one "Large Lightning" just plain awesome 8)

What are the file sizes for the 4 part file hosted on MU? b/c everytime I try to unpack the files with both 7zip and winrar, I keep getting the same error.

My File Sizes for the first 3 parts are:
512,000 kb
and for the 4th file it is:
226281 kb

What should I do?

1. I dont realy know the frist problem try looking up on google its most likly something missing or wrong with your windows.(might be a text error mabey get a language pack or update ur os via windows update.)

2. did u get a vitrual drive like daemon tools? the iso file to install it has to be mounted to a virtual drive as it is said in the walkthrough to install it.

Just get it from the torrent IMO- hash checks are your friends. If your'e really against that, I recall something similar happening with a game I downloaded from MU- none of the files had a bad size, but when I went to decompress them, winrar was able to specifiy which segment was corrupt. Re-download that one.

Eagle:
1: Try googling for the fonts your missing. If you've got vista, you just need to right click them and you'll be able to install them. If you're running XP, there is a folder you need to drag them into. I don't remember where it is, but you should be able to find it by doing a search for the file extension that the fonts use.

2: Sounds like your virtual disc drive released the image. Try to remount it.










Okay, new frustration here. I used the new-game plus bonus to get a character named Ouka Toki. I've got her affection points capped out but I can't find where to redeem the points. Is it possible to redeem the affection points? Will it happen automatically like some characters do if you don't use a fan to activate the event?

Vassals are very usefull since they block a path for the enemy (the enemy can't attack them but you can attack the enemies), you have not to attack the capital which is often the hardest point in conquering. And the support of them isn't the baddest since you don't have to pay anything for them.

You should be able to run the English executable and play fine with your operating system running in English.
