When you have the choice, do you play as a male or female?

Mostly female, although I'm male, for the same reason as a bunch of other posts on the first page: I'd rather be looking at a girl throughout the game. Mass Effect and Fallout are the only ones at them moment that I can think of that I've used a male character, when given the choice of gender. I did make one female account in Fallout 3, but only for the neutral karma trophies.

I'm a dude and I first play as a female because like many other say "if im gonna stare a character for an excessive amount of time i would rather stare at a girls ass than a guys ass " but I switch it up every new game like example I have a dude Shepard and then a Female hawke

It depends, in fighting games girls tend to be quicker and thats my forte, but in MMOs male characters im a guy and i like to develop a certain bond with the character im playing as, plus female avatars are always assumed that its a female behind the keyboard and tend to get hit on/underestimated.

It depends if I get to wear some thing skimpy.

How often do you get to play as a girl in single player campaign/missions? not very often. really liked reach for giving me a choose in what gender I play as in single player.

I always go for male. Even if it looks like a shit character model, I always choose male.

the reason? my willpower of playing games will be completely gone if i had picked a male character, and i don't even know why

Most of the times I play guys. For obvious reasons, it's easier to identify myself with a male character. If the female characters are hot/cute or otherwise appealing enough though, it's a whole different thing.

It depends for me but most of the time i go for female.

It's dependent on how the characters look, but more often than not I'll play a female so I have something to look at during my escapades. And for some good ol' trollan.

Depends of the game and the characters. For example, on Mass Effect i try to do two diferent saves, one with a male character and another one with a female.

Usually I'd use a male character, but in monster hunter, I use girl characters.

I'm a female that always plays as female. The male designs in a game are really boring anyway, so I'd probably still choose female even if I was a male.
