Okay~ Zeph gave me the permission, so here goes, my first assignment.

write a poem. here's the format...

every stanza consists of 4 lines. and the rhythm must be

kind of thing. The minimum length is 5 stanzas, and it must be about love/hate! XD

I've edited the first page so that Mibu's first assignment is under his "class". Hm... Later I should do all of the assignments that I've been neglecting and make some new assignments while I'm at that.

As long as he is a content-based critic. In my opinion, we have enough grammatical reviewers/critics here already.

New assignment for Zeph's class.

The sun was the only thing worthy of note. The town, the town was just like all the others: destroyed, run down, dead. The sun, though, the sun was always worthy of mention, because its unyielding heat was what made this place so miserable. The outskirts of Kandahar, Afghanistan. Gotta love 'em.

"Alright, so the gook says to the Nazi--"

"Where the fuck are you going with this, Nylund?" Andrew Nashira asked the Corporal that stood next to him as they lazily walked down the street.

"Uh, sorry, Sarge." Nylund said quickly, returning the two to the silent walk they had grown used to. Ahead of them, 12 other men walked down the road with their guns hanging lazily at their waists. Nashira, however, always kept his rifle ready. Not indexed, but ready. (Indexed means placing your finger on the trigger. Standard fire discipline instructs placing the index finger across the trigger guard when a discharge is not imminent)

Nashira scanned the street slowly and saw a man round the corner onto the same street as his unit. The man blended in perfectly, and Nashira only looked his way because he had just appeared, but his timing was perfect and when the man looked over his shoulder and made eye contact, he immediately broke into a desperate sprint.

"Chaos Two-Six, possible enemy contact, headed north on our street, check right!" He yelled into his radio. At the head of the column, the Lieutenant turned and men immediately readied their weapons as Nashira began to chase the man, his sidearm out and his M4 on the ground behind him

"Nashira, get the fuck back here!" The Lieutenant yelled as Nashira ran past him and followed the man around a corner, into a building. He shouldered through the numerous closed doors in front of him with little loss of speed until finally exiting to the other side---

Where a Daisy chain IED intended for the entire unit waited for him. He swore in the instant he had before white brilliance overtook his form and the earth shook with finality.

But I say yes, simply because spelling and grammar doesn't totally dictate the quality of someone's prose/poetry/writing.

Assignment idea (Suggestion to teachers)

Write a sonnet from the perspective of one of the four elements (Fie, Water, Air, Earth). Follow standard sonnet structure and remember that it's from the perspective of the element, not about it.
