It's not that hard, it's quite easy and not all of it is poetry. It'd be nice if you tried the assignments out.

Ahaha, I think you found it after I post its link on the favorite memories thread.

I just noticed that the first post is in 2010. I was getting all psyched to start working on these. Though, if someone revives this idea I'd love to participate either as a teacher or a student. Teacher wise I'd probably just set up grammar, kinda like what Lulu did earlier. That's one of my pet peeves about works on here.

I don't really have the clout to gather people in the fashion Zeph did, so I don't know how possible it'd be to fully re-institute the school (for me, anyway).

I feel like between Neko, Noel, and some of the other well-known people who frequent we could probably get some decent attention.

I was thinking more in the realm of teachers. I think the reason this died in the first place is that Zeph left and there weren't really any other active teachers. The list of former teachers/teachers in training was as follows.

Of those listed as teachers in training, I have not seen easily seventy percent of them on this forum at all, and of the few that I have seen only one has been active within the past couple of months (Joe-kun). Besides, even he's gone now. Of the teachers listed, each has only one assignment. Finding people who want to write is so-so difficult. Find people who want to write and can not only handle, but put criticism to use is beyond my concern. Finding a person not only capable of reading and providing opinion, but knowing the ins and outs of literature in a way that enables the ability to actually "teach" those that want to learn.

I'm happy that someone's already willing to cover grammar, but all that's done is gotten the most concrete of all the aspects out of the way. Grammar is cut and dry, but with more abstract concepts a stubborn student can argue till the cows come home since their "teacher" would just be someone given the title.

Damn you and your logic. Perhaps something more along the lines of a workshop type deal then? Sort of like mini competitions, just without a winner, and have a few key people who know what they're talking about pass criticisms.

Now isn't this place a bit nostalgic.

From what I know, these guys are there, on just another forums, all you need to do is call them forth (I think), and several others on that list are simply lurkers now.

I'll talk to Zeph when I see her online the next time on Skype about this.

I'm certain that at the very least one of the teachers listed above repeatedly remarks on his inability to examine a writing and provide anything more than an opinion of whether it is good or bad. If that doesn't matter, then this shouldn't really be called a school. It's pretty much a thread where users can make mass requests and have them answered.

Now I'm thinking that'd be a good way to re-vamp the thread. Readers request what they want to read so the writer instantly has an audience. Only downside is when no requests come in. Oh well.
