((OOC: This is my attempt to post an event and make a post at the same time, so please bear with the length here))
Event 3b
By this time, you will each be called to the 'Interview room', better known as the interrogation. When in the room, you will be questioned about the charges you've been brought in for. It's here that you learn that there are some... descripencies in the police report, such as certain aspects being exaggerated or made up. You have the option of talking to the interrogators alone, wait for Phoenix, your attorney, or not at all.
Either during or after this time, you will meet Phoenix who will consult you on the matter.
Affected players: Langying, Zandorf, Cammi and Rise-chan
Before Lang or anyone else could say anything, the guard came to the cell.
"Ying-san, I'm here to escort you to the interview room." He said.
Lang stood up and went to the gate of the cell, saying "
And now comes the fun part, wish me luck." And was brought to the interview room.
The was mostly dark, save for a ceiling lamp that illuminated the single table and two chairs. While handcuffed still, Lang was seated as a heavy-set, dark-skinned man with a shaved head entered on the other side and sat opposite to Lang. The man made it a point to remove his gun and place it on the center of the table then fixed him a dagger-stare.
"Alright, you lil' bitch. I'm gonna ask some real simple questions, and I want some real simple answers." The detective said
"
Well, somebody's been watching Menace 2 Society too many times." Lang quipped. "
Also, my name ain't lil' bitch."
"Hmph... Now,"
"
And, I ain't sayin' shit 'til my lawyer gets here."
The detective sighed, collected his gun and left. Some few minutes later, he returned with a fair-skinned man in a blue suit & red tie, jet black hair combed back in a sort of swoop. The new-comer sat next to Lang while the detective sat back down.
"Hi there, I'm Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney!" He said with a cocky grin as he shook Lang's hand. "I was appointed by the City of Fakku to represent you in this case! So, what're the charges?"
"This lil punk brought a gun to a school, made some threatening gestures towards a group of unarmed civilians then shot a few of them." The dective said.
Both Lang and Phoenix looked equally shocked.
"What?!" Phoenix snapped then checked his paperwork. "That wasn't in the report I got!"
"
That is some bullshit!" Lang snapped back. "
First of all, I brought the rifle along because we have women gettin' raped left'n right and then you got this damn NSJ fuckheads goin' around and beatin' up anybody who ain't from around here. Secondly, those 'unarmed civilians' were a bunch'o those damn NSJ assholes-armed with bokken and shinai, mind you-who were busy harassing students and leering at their Council President, so I fired into the air once to get their attention and when I saw them about to move against me, I pointed the rifle at them, but didn't shoot. When they left, I left. And there's a whole school's worth of witnesses to back that up"
"That ain't what this report says." The detective said back.
"Let me see that report..." Phoenix said.
"Fuck you." The dective said then got up and left.
"Well, that went well." Pheonix said with a sigh. "But, seriously, the fact you brought a gun to a school doesn't exactly help your case."
"
Well, when there's a bunch of assholes runnin' around and the cops that weren't bought off can only do so much. Besides, the gun was full of blanks." Lang explained.
Pheonix looked intrigue. "Loaded with blanks? So what, you just trying to scare them off or something?" Lang nodded. "Hm, but this makes no sense. The paperwork clearly said you were arrested for threatening a group of NSJ protesters with the rifle. If there were changes, I would've been told ahead of time."
"
Well the fact me and some others are here at all is bullshit, anyway. Lang quipped and said back in the chair.
"So, you suspect some foul play? Those NSJ guys do have connections, after all." Pheonix asked.
"
You tell me. Lang shrugged.
"Well, thank you, Mr. Ying. I gotta get to the other clients. I'll keep you and your family posted." Pheonix said
After which point, Lang was escorted back to the cell.
