- there are Generals for each three power's military force. I'm having all three be NPCs controlled by me, since me being them will be crucial to how this works
- There are three phases, Standby, Strategy and Battle
Standy Phase or Peacetime, in this phase, players can RP and go on about as they see fit. If a player was captured in the Battle Phase before, this phase is when allied players will be able to plan and execute a rescue.
Strategy Phase, this phase occurs once a battle has been established and is the planning phase before the Battle Phase. In this phase, players should refrain
from RPing in the thread itself and plan among allied players the battle plan for the upcoming battle through PMs or Skype chat.
Battle Phase, in this phase, players will RP and battle each other basically.
- Each player is recommended to consult their General about battle plans for upcoming battles.
- GM will manage and create battles for players to fight in, e.g., June 6th 2021 Orthodox invades VASA forces in Hamburg, Germany.
- Players are encouraged to PM or Skype chat with each other to discuss battle plans, consulting their generals when need be and addressing their battle plans to them. A battle will not be able to commence until both sides have addressed their battle plans.
- After both sides decide their battle plan, each are given pieces of the enemy's battle plan. They will not know which parts of their plans were revealed and are given time to revise their plans before the actual battle.
- At the end of the Strategy Phase, the actual battle will begin and players will RP. Players are advised to joint post with each other in order to make things fluid.
- During the battle, unaffiliated players are allowed to join as unlawful combatants. They will, however, need to notify the GM that they are joining the battle.
- When unaffiliated players join the battle, they need to inform the GM that they are joining and who's side they will be on if not acting independantly. When joining the battle independantly, they will not be given any information on either sides battle plan and will be treated as a hostile by both sides, however, both sides will not know that the player is joining the battle until they encounter said person.
If the player chooses to join the fight under the flag of one side, he/she will be given all known information from the Strategy Phase. The other side will not know of the player joining the battle.
- A battle will end if one side is forced to retreat, surrender or is heavily outnumbered. If players retreat, they will have a number generated for them between 1-3, if it is a 1, the player will successsfully escape, if it is a 2, the player will escape but will be wounded someway in the process and they'll sit out one battle phase, if it is 3 the player will be captured by the other side.
If a player surrenders, they'll be captured immediatly and stay captured until they are rescued or turned.
- Once the battle is over, players enter a Standby Phase where they can either rescue a player thats been captured or just enjoy peacetime how they see fit.
The length of a Standby phase can vary from a day to a week. At the end of a Standby Phase, the GM will announce a battle and players affected will go into a Strategy phase, players unaffected can choose to stay in Standby or join the battle on either side.
E.g. Orthodox and VASA are battling each other, players from the Protestant Knights can join the battle as an individual or side with one of them like an unaffiliated player.
