Age of Anarchy: Dawn in Blood

Well, even though I hate Felix, his presence in the story is well done. So if he is somehow needed to make a good story, by all means put him in. I'll continue to enjoy whatever you dish out, until it gets unbearably bad. Which I doubt will ever happen, considering what you're putting out so far.

Greatly written chapter, but I don't really get what is it about. And it lacks gravitas too. Not to say it's bad, but yup, definitely unrelated.

It's about Auras. And Scarlet. I mentioned before that Auras was a character cut from the original story. I didn't want to just completely forget about him, but I also couldn't figure out a way to put him in so that's where I came up with the idea to do a separate short story about him. And that's it by the way. It's not a chapter. That's the whole thing. It does indeed lack gravitas with respect to the stories of Ryxor, Vanen, Felix and the rest, but that was the idea.



Lymyre and Auras are gibberish I made up by playing around with other names. Auras comes from Auron from FFX. I don't recall how Lymyre started. Weatherly is an actual name. I was hesitant to use Thompson as Auras' last name mainly because it doesn't sound very fantasy-ish but in the end I was like, "Screw it. I can't think of anything else."

It's been a long time, but I am proud to put up the prologue and first two chapters of the next major arc of Age of Anarchy, A Knife in the Dark. Please check them out if you have the time and tell me what you think. While the story is ongoing, I have once again taken measures to ensure that people who haven't read the previous parts can jump in without being confused.

It's been a while since I've added new stuff, so here's three more chapters.

Chapters 10 and 11 added. Starting to get close to the climax so to speak.

Like to ask, do I need to read the Legendary Sentinels, the Great Game and Aftermath to understand A Knife in the Dark?

I remembered that I have promised you a review of this thread but I have some doubts about writing it. I have made my opinions known about this thread long ago and you can say that one of my event entries detailed the problems I had with it.

It's my intention that you do not need to read the others to understand Knife in the Dark. Did I actually succeed in that though? I don't know. I'd like to think so, but I don't have any feedback. However, I can say that I didn't write it with your tastes in mind. I can say with certainty that you will not like the prologue. Or the first chapter. There are things going on there that are easy enough to follow, but I don't explain why they're going on until later. I don't want to discourage you, but I think it's safe to say you'll have the same problems with it as before.

Chapter 12 of Knife in the Dark is up.

I have a feeling that for the most part if anyone had some feedback, they would have given it already. But just in case there are a few of you out there who think there's something wrong but they can't put their finger on it, here's some pointers that are a bit more specific than, "Feedback please!"

Are the characters working for you? Are you having a difficult time getting behind them? Do you feel that they're not active enough? Too powerful or no powerful enough?

How's the pacing? Too much action? Not enough action?

What direction do you think the story's headed? What are you're expectations?

And when I've finished posting the chapters (which I haven't) and you've had the opportunity to read through it, were those expectations met? Does the ending satisfy you?

Finally made time for chapter 1. Didn't like Alice much, but she seems like she'd do well in my universe.

Just so we're clear, my previous post wasn't directed at you. I know you're busy and all. It was aimed at the guys who continue to give my posts + reps and nothing else. I appreciate the support, but I'm hoping for more than + reps from them. Also, I want to post more than just, "Hey! This chapter is up!" It feels kinda weird to essentially have a wall of posts like that with little to no conversation going on.

What do you mean by Alice would do well in your universe?

Well even so, that post did make me push my plans a bit!

Nothing much, but the whole magic going out of control vibe Alice had reminds me of Ayesha. And Felix. Though fortunately she didn't have it so bad.
