D, tighten our grip and give her a look of determination, take out the grappling hook and extend it towards the creatures to show her we will defend both of us if need be.
"Don't you dare let go!" you say in your mind as you tighten your grip to her surprise. You pull out your grappling hook with your free hand and swing it as one of the creatures flies towards you. It connects with its head, knocking it out and causing it to start falling. She sees your determination and tightens her grip once more. She zips left and right, avoiding the creatures as they attempt to dive bomb her. You do your best knocking them away with your grappling hook. You've come to the realization that only one ever makes an attempted attack which then signals the others if it is successful. If you can keep this up, you might be able to escape into the blanket of clouds. As you near it your heart begins to race faster. Just a few more feet and you're home free. Unfortunately, you miss one of the creatures and it tackles her from behind just as you enter the clouds. It makes an ear piercing shriek and your heart sinks. You manage to jab your hook into it's stomach and pry it off of your companion, allowing her to continue flying. You look down at the clouds and are shocked after a bolt of lighting strikes and lights up the area for a moment. The silhouette of hundreds of demonic winged creatures can be seen entering the clouds in search of you. You decide to:
A. Not warn your companion to keep her from panicking B. Attempt to explain what you just saw to her and urge her to fly faster C. Attempt to explain what you just saw to her and urge her to find a good spot to hide in the clouds D. Attempt to explain what you just saw to her and urge her to find a good spot to hide on the mountainside E. Other

B, but just urge to go faster by pointing in the direction. We can't speak to her so any attempt to explain will slow her down and distract her. Every second of attentive flight counts in escaping them. They will have more targets below that they can actually see or catch up to. We pried off the screeching one so that should buy us time. Stay quiet in flight and hopefully they won't find us by ear.
You urge her to fly faster and she complies, flying as fast as her wings will allow. The occasional lighting strike reveals that the creature seem to have given up. You sigh in relief and relax a little. After just a few more minutes, light begins to poke through the clouds. You look up just as you exit the blanket, the sun slightly blinding you in the process. You are happy to see that the giant stone structure has an end. Your companion hastily flies towards it, seeming quite relieved as well. Suddenly, you here the sound of what seems like heavy flapping. When you look down towards the blanket of clouds, a great silhouette exits from it. It parts the clouds with its massive jaw and attempts to bite at you and your companion from an angle to the left. You get her attention and:
A. Tell her to fly faster B. Tell her to fly straight up C. Tell her to fly left D. Tell her to fly right E. Other
Current HP: 10 Level: The Stone Monument Equipment: Phylactery(1), Grappling Hook
You tug on you companion's arm to break her out of her tunnel vision. She looks down and notices the giant jaws of the creature. You motion her to swerve right, allowing you to barely escape its clutches. She stops flying for a moment to examine the beast. As it exits the clouds, you notice that it is a giant humanoid creature with wings. It looks to be thirty-five feet and it's flesh is rotting. A stench of decay exits it's body as a manner vermin crawl all over and fall off of it. Upon closer inspection, you realize that the creature has inconsistent skin. It seems to be made up of hundred of dead bodies molded into the nightmarish being you see now. It has no eyes, but it looks at you as if it does. As it decides on an action you take, you:
A. Urge your companion to fly to your destination B. Ready yourself to fight C. Urge you companion to charge it while it's deciding D. Use your companion as bait and escape E. Other
Current HP: 10 Corpse Legion HP: 20 Level: The Stone Monument Equipment: Phylactery(1), Grappling Hook
A, I have a feeling our grappling hook won't work well against a 35-foot tall monster with vermin crawling all over it. Out maneuver it, we have a size advantage in terms of alacrity.
Where's your bravery, guys? Hahaha! Also, I'm lessening or adding more choices depending on the situation from now on. Five choices should still be the most common however, and the "Other" option will always be present.
You urge your companion to fly to the exit. She makes no hesitation and does so. The creature starts to fly clumsily towards your direction. It opens its mouth and tendrils fly out of it. You notice that they are made of human entrails and your companion makes every effort to avoid them. She darts back and forth, giving your heart a shock with every close call. Finally, you reach the top of the monument and she lands, placing you on the ground. She looks back for an instant and you are surprised when she pushes you away from her. You quickly learn why as entrails wrap around her wings. She desperately tries to remove her gift before she is pulled off the edge. You look at the cage and consider running towards it. You then look at the edge and your conscience kicks in. "Dammit..." you say.
"Don't worry about her," the voice finally spoke once more. "She's got two phylacteries, remember? Even if she does die, she'll just come back to life. But I don't know how fun it will be coming back to life inside of that thing's stomach. If she gets eaten, that is. Hahaha!"
"Dammit..." you repeat to yourself before you decide to:
A. Help her B. Run for the cage C. Other
Current HP: 10 Corpse Legion HP: 20 Level: The Stone Monument Equipment: Phylactery(1), Grappling Hook
You curse at yourself before running towards the edge. You see the woman still desperately trying to remove her gift as the tendrils slowly pull her into the creature's mouth. You chuck your grappling hook and she quickly reaches out for it. Managing to reach it, the woman clutches on desperately as you use all your strength in an attempt to pull her towards you. You are surprised when you see her pull out one of her phylacteries as she pulls herself closer to the hook. The woman throws the gem straight up before using your grappling hook to slit her own throat, robbing herself of her own life. You think she's absolutely mad until you notice her body reform where she threw the phylactery. As soon as she's fully formed, the woman flies towards you as the creature continues its pursuit. She doesn't stop and tackles you, shoving both of you into the cage. It does not dissuade the giant creature and it too, continues to charge for the cage. You quickly get up and run towards the entrance, grabbing the iron bars of the door and shutting it. Your entire surrounding goes black as it disappears in front of your eyes, taking the creature with it.
"Impressive!" the voice says. "That was a photo finish! As promised, since you're in a cage, you can rest for a moment. You can also ask me another question, if you wish."
You sigh before saying:
A. How did I die? B. How many levels exist? C. What was that monster? D. Take us to the next place E. Other
