While I feel flattered and such, I would like to add that I have no experience as a judge. I know it is still writing, and I am capable of doing a helpful critique, I still want to let the community know that I will need some help before I can be of use (which I can pick up easily).
As for who I'm electing, I would like High_Time as a judge. He gives great advice and helpful critiques. Here are some examples

I would volunteer but I don't think I'm qualified ^_^ I did some criticisms a while back when I was active but after the little "break" I had, I'm not so active anymore. Well, if you have no problem with that, you can think of me as a reserve, if you can't find anyone else.

I'll put my name forward for judging, even though I'm not very active (by not very active, I mean almost not at all) in the writing forum. I've ample free time, but trying to write a story that I can be proud of is not easy at all. No hard feelings if I'm not picked, it's just the internet after all.
Secondly, as a suggestion, I think that making it 1500 characters minimum, and 3500 character maximum will give the greatest amount of flexibility with regards to each participants writing style, and how much they can write.

I looked at what 1500 and 3500 would actually look like split up into paragraphs and spacing, and I do agree agree with you. To be honest I would just as soon dismiss any sort of limit in words at all as restricting the topic contestants are allowed to write about is enough as it is. I suppose in the end that it falls to how much time judges would put into this.

I agree with oneshott though, not setting a limit will give more flexibility to the type of stories presented, although, I think that it should be limited to short stories, I don't want to read novels just for a contest <---- Common sense.

I simply think that you're yet not prepared for such a task, currently. At least that's what I can think right now. But I appreciate you the fact that you'll help if possible; it's the thought that counts, I suppose.
We had a contest without any actual limits. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. I wouldn't really want to do that, for the sake of the contest itself.

A contest without word limits would indeed be a disaster. What happens if everyone ends up writing 5,000 words or more? Depending on the number of entries, it would very likely be too much for the judges. Trust me, there are plenty of people capable of writing over 5,000 words, and some, producing nonesense. Word limits challenge you to learn to use a wider range of vocabulary, while teaching you to be concise. And, of course, this reduces the amount that the judges have to read, since they have a lot to consider while reading.

I would probably suggest that you would aim to appoint those who distinguished themselves greatly in the last contest. Jericho would be an amazing judge, but from what I hear he's busy with life. If he isn't though, go all for him. Next would be either Xenon, Toxic Influence, or GroverCleaveland. They've all shown themselves to be very capable judges, but I'm unsure whether they're currently active (I think Toxic is). Find_Vega is also a great candidate (even though he's OBVIOUSLY HUMBLE) but if he feels he isn't up to the job, then that's that. high_time is also a great choice, because he's always (and still is after skimming through the Writing section in forever) giving constructive criticism that helps people out.
They all have my support 8D.
Careful about the prize though. If the title "Fakku Writer" becomes something that's handed out x times a year, then it loses it's luster. Also, I don't think Jacob is going to keep giving us prizes more than once a year for a contest. So if you're really going to have to offer a prize for incentive, it might have to be out of your (or other sponsors) pockets.
They all have my support 8D.

I just wanted people to come up if they think they have what it takes, hence this thread was made. But before I did this, I asked Xenon and Jericho. Jericho said he was busy after much consideration. Xenon simply wants to give other users a chance to be judges for this one. I'd think Toxic and Grover saw this thread if they paid a visit to this section, because I've seen them online and posting around, if I recall correctly. But I'll PM if I feel the need to.
Yeah I know, I'm just gonna see if that's possible to get if I can't get what I'm planning to arrange for prizes. I'll be deciding based on how things go.

If 2/3 of the candidates are unwilling to be a judge, you can still get the other two people to join in.
As a side note, I do not want to become a judge in the contest based on the fact that I am biased towards certain works of words.

Announcement: Users are no longer allowed to sign up to become judges of this contest. All the applicants will be questioned privately (excluding the two from my so-dubbed plan B). Based on their answers, capabilities, free times (schedule, I suppose), and their works and perhaps, reviews: I'll make my decisions.

I apologize in advance to those who gets rejected; please do not be sad if I do not pick you; it just means that you'll be able to post a fantastic entry for all to read!
