I finished the santa claus vs jacob one today. Going to write some other to made my choice correctly.

I'll be throwing my hat in here again, though maybe not so depressing as last year's . . .

If I explictily ask permission and they give a full ok, can it still be grossly offensive. (im planning to show the involved persons the story in full before posting it)

I am yet to discuss this with the other judges. But in my opinion; no. Think about the readers, will THEY really like to read something grossly offensive?

If you want, you can PM either of the judges the story so that we can decide whether we can allow it.

I just say disclaimer it in the first line and--more importantly--avoid something grossly offensive and/or libelous. That means avoid giving someone a negative image and/or making false statements about them. That's my official response on the official rule.

Basically what Rise said, but in case you do not yet know of forum hyper-linking, you simply highlight the URL in your browser and copy it. When you post in this thread, all you have to do while you post is click the Earth symbol with the chain links below it (next to the YouTube symbol) and then paste the URL that you copied in that window that pops up, then write the words that you want to lead to the URL, which may be the title of your writing.



Correct. Initially it is a holiday writing contest, but to clarify confusion for those who do not celebrate holidays, you may simply write about the topic of winter or a story happening during the season of winter as well. I'd list examples, but that could sway people to write about those topics when I would enjoy original creativity.
