Not unreasonable, Waar. This is going to come across as bawwing too, but when you keep implying that I was upset/annoyed about it...I was just disappointed that the final vote didn't get more of an airing. More than advertising, it would have provided more legitimacy/fanfare for the final result, assuming we can get a post in for the winners. I just wanted it to seem like a big thing and not the user-generated hotchpotch that is ultimately is. :P Even writing a thousand words of fiction is difficult for most people, and a very different prospect from other 'games', I grant you. But I see a lot of people out there as being capable, and I just wanted the best for it. We got damn near.

Overall, we have done very well. I can't begin to express how proud I am of all of the submissions and the interest, and I'm glad that so many people seem to have enjoyed it. Onwards and upwards.

Otherwise, I apologise to everyone for not having sorted my choices out yet. Lots of work out of the way now so it will be getting done this evening. And give neko-chan loads of rep; she has practically carried me through this. I am younger... :p

as a final note to everyone else who spoke about prizes, I don't know what goes on in Jacob's mind at all times but the last time people spoke about giving tittles out for contests on a regular basis Jacob was against the idea. Perhaps you should consider thinking about other ideas for prizes in case that isn't always on the table. Just a suggestion and by no means a deterrent to your contest ideas.

And yes everyone, there is going to be a Rank title given as a prize - I made sure. I just have to come up with one... but I have no idea what the Valentine Contest is going to do. I have no part in that contest so the prize will probably not be the same. That said, I'll announce the winner in a lovely announcement AFTER the poll is over and the other judges have come to a consensus.

I pretty much just didn't want to back down after SamRavster queried what I'd said. It looks unfortunately confrontational out of context...but maybe it looked like that in context. Unfair was the wrong word.

Maybe then the contests should only be held bi-annually; once in the winter, and once in the summer. I'm liking that ghost story idea a lot.

We'll see come summer. If the memories of this contest are fading, yet still held on to fondly yet faintly, it might be a good idea.

Agreed on both points. But, that is why I have changed it to the above. However, I still have the option of "sex muffin" on the table. I know it seems out there, but if the winner approves, well then...

I submitted an entry with the lofty goal of 'Fakku Writer' in mind. I will be upset if it is changed. Very upset. Enough to decimate two trillion molecules of air.

If you use the term `Author`, people might be led to believe that Fakku has released a book. Hey, I'd like that as much as the next guy, but that point remains it's unnecessary confusion. With the term `Writer` it automatically associates the person with the Writing Sub-Forum. If they post in other places throughout the entirety of the forums, they might be intrigued to see what exactly is in the Writing sub-forum; hopefully boosting activity here.

But yes, the Summer Idea that Neko suggested certainly is a good idea; it certainly beats the generic summer idea of holidays etc. Another question though, just like with the last competition, would it have to involve Fakku again; to prevent plagiarism? Makes sense.

So that's established then...and Fakku Writer was the original proposition all those months ago. But as was said, if the winner has a sensible alternative, that might be workable. And scary stories are good. I worried for a second that it was 'summer themed', a.k.a. a hundred stories about the beach. :P

So the winner and all the stuffs that needs to be decided are done huh, oh well, guess the whole contest is about to come to an end.

I'd have neko-chan have the contest held regardless of the memories fades or not but I guess I'm in no position to talk, cause I can't hold a contest myself.

To sum it all up, the one who wins chooses the title he wishes to have correct?(not that that I'm gonna be coming up with a title name now, no definitely not)
