The only bad thing I see about this is that we might all have the same favorite, so someone might suck up all the presents. Unless you said that would be avoided somehow.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing everyone's works. I really enjoy Love as a theme.

hmm..I'm thinking about it too. if that happens, the prizegivers could all gather up somewhere and discuss about the 'distribution of prizes'
piratepad or typewithme could do the job. please send me the link and when to gather right after the contest ends so we could somehow discuss this together.

So, how about to encourage an even distribution of prizes, we set it up like a secret Santa/gift exchange. You are assigned a "Valentine" to get or do something for, like a prize, of a random entrant. The randomization can be assigned on Valentines Day when we have all official submissions and those who participated will receive someone they have to get something or do something for, then you have a week or so to get them their gift. In that time, we can have polling for a winning submission if sora is set upon writing an epic VN of a winning entry.

sounds reasonable enough, I'm up for it =D
a poll for the grand prize is nice too. let's discuss both of this later on.

Oh dear. How on earth would Sora make a visual novel out of my entry?
I am personally fine if the contest is prize free. It would not bother those who have to come up with the prizes. The reason why I joined the contest is because I want a few persons to read what I write. I decided to join this community not because of the prizes but because there are one or two persons who enjoy what I write from these contests.
If you want me to come up with a prize, the best I can do is write a parody.

A mass (relatively speaking) VN collaboration. I am amused, and I'll be keeping an eye on entries to see what I like then!

I think I'm going to join in again. The theme is more simple after all. Fairy tale... Fairy tale... Fairy tail....

well I think it's more like a mere writing event where anyone would write something for fun than a contest, but thanks for the banner =D

I think there will be no reader's choice or judge's choice for this one. if you're looking for the winners, you'd probably want to go into the Winter Contest instead. you can go hire them and made them put something together.
for this event, we probably would go along the selection of stories people most excited about, and use it as a concept, with the permission of the original Author.
that aside. I'll consider extending the deadline to March 14th if anyone wants to. if not, I'll just keep the current deadline as it is and just accept the entries submitted even though it might be few in number.

Ah, that’s fine by me. I actually mentioned the winner of both choices since it dawned on to me that it might inspire more people to want to submit. I see what you mean about the number of entries. I’m under the assumption that everyone is going to just surprise submit around the last two week instead!yeah probably something around like that. nah, it means I'm just buying a chocolate for myself on the 14th to eat. let's just call it a celebration of eating chocolate all alone. it will eventually become a social status.

I have a couple stories in my head, but they aren't real fairy tales. I have a fantasy story in my head that I think I might just go with and call it a day, but it probably won't be reminiscent of fairy tales, just a fantasy setting. I don't know. I need to think about this more.
