Valentine Writing Event 2014

Lol. I don't think an extension to March 14th is a good idea. It goes against the very concept of the 'Valentines' Writing event itself.

I agree. Keeping it set simply makes a lot of sense.

It still falls within White Day, which sort of counts. I didn't even do the last V-day contest because of being blown out from Winter, but I'm trying. Only 15 days left, though. Need to get writing.

yeah. but I think I'll be busy with the new semester during March.

no need for anything complex just try to keep it simple, at last able to do within 15 days.

if not, we could also extend it for a short while, let's just say about 69 hours 69 minutes and 69 seconds approximately.

Well, if anything he can next year make the thread at February 14th, and put the deadline (or whatever you call it for 'events') at March 14th.

It'd be a lot better than a blatant extension after the event is officially started.

I feel that I must apologize. This story is long and more words only got added to it during editing. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to cut it down to size. I hereby submit my entry for the 2014 Valentine writing event, but I suspect it won't be accepted due to its size.

damn it's even over the limit in double. I thought the most you're going to submit is about 6900 words or so.

you can try just summarizing things until it reached about 6000 words and post the full entry on a separate post. can be in the same thread. when you're done with it, I'll add your entry to the list.

P.S : don't know if anyone else will find this acceptable, but this is one solution I can come up with.

Sorry, but I think I'll have to pass on that. I wrote for the event, but I'm okay with my piece not actually making it in. I think the same people will choose to read or not read it regardless of whether or not it's an official entry. I can remove the [Valentine 2014] tag from the title if you want.

Booooo! Booooooooooo! I support the entry that's apparently longer than my Halloween one in page and word count.

It's going to take me a while to read, though. Have a lot of stuff to juggle this week and my own entry to attempt.

well I'm just trying to avoid the future confusion by at least trying to adhere towards the set guidelines.

you know, think about this story getting a chance to be adapted in a VN format if it garnered enough interest. regardless of it being included in the event or not.

I agree with Xenon. Do scrap the word limit. If it is too long for some readers, then the reader is at liberty not to read it. Even shorter entries might be difficult to understand.
