Ah, sweet, sweet Vanilla goodness! It even has a rather intriguing plot, too. "Upper-level folk", Migration, those scars on her wrist...References to an 'Incident'...I find it all rather interesting, kind of wish it was explored a little more. That ending though...! Ah yes, what a twist...It turns out the bird was formerly kept by the both of them at this very place, and remembered it and them enough that it helped reunite them. What a clever bird. Oh and also the 2 of them might actually be related in some way? Damn, now I really want to know more about the setting and characters. Makes me really want a sequel, that's for sure. Otherwise, this was definitely a sweet, rather heartwarming story about these two reuniting after so long. Although they don't remember having met before, perhaps that may be for the better and they can look towards a brighter future together.Â
really adored the atmosphere, but the writing/flirting (?) was pretty funky (kind of funny?). Very intriguing plot, I'd love to see where it goes but I also like it as a one shot.
Why does this guy write such good shit. I mean... I could see the story beats coming from a mile away, but the pacing and delivery still struck a chord. Damn good stuff.
I love how Fujimaru is building this post-apocalyptic world. With each couple, we come to understand what is going on, how it got there, and the struggles humanity faces. However, even though reality is bleak for the characters in each chapter, it's their relationship with each other that gives them some form of hope. Awesome stuff.
Also, the Canary was literally the wingman here lol.
