Steins;Gate

That's a pretty big shame. This anime is one of the best this season if you give it a chance. Having played the VN, I can say you're definitely missing out on something that's going to get really good.

So, where did you actually got disappointed at?
They did use the microwave to send messages back into time.

and we're not at the climax yet, this first half is all about the Lab members experimenting with D-mails. This anime is gonna air for 24 episodes, so it can sometime feels "slow paced", it's actually running in a faster pace compared to the VN.

I thought it was just 12. Looks like I have more episodes to watch, awesome.

Lol, if this was a 12 episode anime, this will be the slowest paced-cliff hanger end-anime.
It's all fun and games with the experimenting, but like I said in previous posts, "shit will hit hard".

You can't really judge a series on only on three episodes alone like some people think. Unless the show has bad pacing, the plot will not develop that quickly and if it does, most of the time things lack cohesive balance and structure. It is really around six episodes to tell, but if you watched up till that point it is best to continue or continue later at your own leisure. With Steins;Gate in particular, I'm very confident and sure that all the development and buildup is not for show. Just give a good story time to flesh out it's story.

Edit: Okabe's running scene was epic in its own way but I was disappointed with the shower scene compared to the CG that Kaimax posted some time ago.

Things just keeps getting better and better each episode.
