If you ask me pixar is already proving they are awesome. I enjoy their stuff more than most anime. I think japan is hardly superior but if you think about it is based on the variation in culture. America is more focused on the movie industry.

And it's not that they are more focused on the movie industry, it's that their stories work better in full lenght movies. Oh and they work in 3D, so you cannot really compare it to anime.
Like I said before, the only thing that America needs to overcome to produce anime is the cultural barrier. They need to take it as it is seriously.

I disagree with that as the same animation principles apply to animating 2D and 3D works.

did a good job of doing so. While it liked The Jackie Chan Adventures it didn't really have enough anime elements in my opinion.

Jackie chan adventures, W.I.T.C.H, Avatar, and Xiolin warriors are an exception sice I liked them. The others I'm okay with carving my eyes out. (Wtf those are considered anime? :/)

now this was made out of flash (which every guy who has macromedia flash can make),
now think of the potential if it were made using cel-animation(standard animation technique used in japanime) and not some cg crap
or the difference if the guys behind this were the guys who made TTGL, samurai champloo, FLCL, or spirited away
i used to love american cartoons but now they suck. they need to make more cartoons like this or samurai jack
