[Anime] Tamako Market (KyoAni)

There's just no stopping KyoAni and their vivid creations/imaginations, isn't there?

Not that I'm complaining, this just means a new decent anime to kick off 2013 that should be worth looking at.

Another new trailer. Really reminded me of K-On! Seems like they're going back to that style of animation. I was enjoying the Hyouka and Chuunibyou animation more, but I guess it'll be cool seeing it like this again.

I'm sure it's not just me, but there is this certain characteristics that distinguish anime made by KyoAni from other companies if you noticed.
And I am talking about the animation itself, the graphics and such.

Yeah, you can definitely tell when it's KyoAni. And you know it's going to be good if it is. I could see so much K-On in the trailers, like the facial expressions (like at 0:31 and 0:32 of the latest trailer I posted). It's also the movements of the characters as well and how they seem to act.

I was really enjoying the high quality animation and graphics of Hyouka and Chuunibyou but I'm not sure if they'll be any of that in this. I can't wait though.

The reason why I included Hyouka on my top 5 list of Best Anime in 2012 is thanks to its high quality in terms of graphics. Surprisingly, I wasn't really surprised it was made by KyoAni.
I haven't watched all animes that KyoAni has produced, due to little to no spare time I've been having so far, but I am excited to see this anime for sure.

I actually did watch Chuunibyou, it has a great story line and graphic, but, it didn't really move me as much as Hyouka did. Maybe due to the nature of my genre that is more into comedy or mystery (or both combined, like Tasogare Otome).
It was a funny anime, cool enough to make it to my 10 list, but I wouldn't trade it to any of my top 5 anime. By the way, my top 5 is:

5.Amagami SS+
4. Kill Me Baby
3. Hyouka
2. Nise/Jormungand
1. Do you really need to ask?

Haven't decided on who deserve on my second top yet.

I can see what you mean, there's something about the feeling and atmosphere in Hyouka that runs throughout the series. But it was Rikka and everything about her in Chuunibyou that topped Hyouka for me. But Hyouka made it 3rd on my list. It's one I'll definitely rewatch a bunch of times.

IS THE BEST CHARACTER
MOCHIMAZUI/MOCHIUMAI
Seriously had me lol'ing

I liked the feel of the first episode, and I'm enjoying the mochi making element of the series. I'm liking Tamako so far, she's adorable. Her, the bird and Mochizou are the only characters that have really been characterised so far, and Anko a bit. I guess we'll see what her friends are like in the later episodes. I liked the brown haired girl.

So the bird is probably going to have something to do with having Tamako hook up with or maybe reunite with that boy he showed in the end when his laser vision. The 'prince'.

Looking forward to seeing how the series develops.

Also the ED was awesome. Can't remember the OP, will comment on it next episode. The ED stood out more to me.

Just saw the first episode, really cute and funny, liking the characters and setting of the show so far, Tamako is easily lovable, but that bird is the show stealer.

The baton toss set the tone for the episode. The badminton thing confirmed that. The bird is unbelievable, someone needs to make it think it will be become a meal. It will be interesting to see where this will go.

is what I thought of Tamako Market before it aired. I blame /a/.

I watched it just now and it was pretty funny. I got hooked. The keion-esque character designs bugged me a bit, but I was too busy laughing to even care. The animation is great, as expected of KyoAni. I'll watch more of this.

Also, tamako kinda looked like chitanda in the ED. Kinda.

Bird is best girl.
