Well I was hoping that this season would follow the first in that the entire series progressed in 2 episode arcs, those of us that remember, every 2 episodes comprised of 1 arc/story and then moved on to another arc/story the only thing that stayed constant were the character. Past arc where never mentioned often or at all and they never really add much when u got to the final 3 episode finale. What I liked about this was that there was a lot of time to focus on character development imo. So far this sequel isn't doing that, maybe these first few episode are just and exception, but I rly do hope this sequel follow the episode flow that the first did, any one else agree, or not like this notion.

Yea sadly, since we know a sufficient amount already about some characters those arc aren't needed, but I did like them, I did rly think it made the main story progress as slow as you might have. I did watch each episode as it was being aired on a weekly basis and I rly enjoyed it that way, as long as the focus is on Suou etc I'll be loving this even moar, btw I rly think Suou is very cute nano desu ^_^

the speed-contractor's power is accelerating his movements. my guess is the holes in his body were the raindrops. simply put, he moved so fast that the raindrops were like bullets.
April's power as far as I can recall relates to humidity and probably a little "water bending".

At least Ep 2 explained Hei's drinking problems. I was actually really curious as to what could have made someone as rational as Hei drown anything in a bottle.

I have somewhat of a similar sentiment with regards to the plot-development change. Nothing sort of a like/dislike issue just more of a feeling out process in my part, as it simply feels like I'm watching more of a different series than what's supposedly a sequel. I feel you in likeness to that I enjoy such episodic formulae, 2-3 episode arcs in this case, in which the first season fairly implemented. It indeed focused more on character buildups, particularly on Hei's team with each mission they undertake and accomplish/resolve; yet, apparently, not-resolving the main mystery of the entire premise to most of the other viewers' dismay - an idea which makes me raise an eyebrow when the first series was really, really all about Hei (experiencing and learning what it is to be both a contractor and a human) in his quest for acceptance (of Pai's disappearance), in what I personally thought had been well taken care of... even while having less to a proper explanation of how he obtained his sister's ability without a contract.

Suou is cute, well yeah sure I like her too but not quite as much as I love Yin. Sadly, it seems like Hei may have had just found a permanent replacement for her... if the ED sequence would be of any indication.
I really wish we could have at least known for sure that she's alright though I highly doubt it now for some reason; she did clearly bid farewell to Hei with matching tears in her eyes, may it be in a dreamlike state or not.

I would first like to state I loooooooooooooooooooooooooove this series. I loved the original with the exception to the ending I am loving this season with the exception to th ending of episode 3.
The escape scene was very tearjerking for me. It showed how terrible even Darker than Black can be. With a combination of cheesy dialogue and technopop they managed to turn what should have been a thrilling chase! into something I just wanted to skip -.- Her sneaking under the train and all that shit reminded me compeltely of COD4 by the way (Just incase someone else was) How lacking is this military that they didn't notice her under the train? How alert would you assume they would be if they have a contractor on the lose I ask you how fucking alert should they be.
I really looked away from the computer when I saw Sou go Super Sayan and conjure a machine gun. I looked away because it is so stupid. I hope they give a good explanation for that. If they are going to keep it a surprise, secret, whatever then it'll suck hard. I'm also bothered that Hei's obsession was replaced with alcoholism compared to gluttony.

So I thought of expressing my fair share of grievances on how silly this sequel has turned out to be, thus far, and guessing would be going for so on. How fitting it is for Harumingu(Harmonian as I prefer to call him atm) to show up and set the stage for one hell of a bash-elor party!
Woooh! Introducing characters and killing them off in mere seconds well-spent, and introducing even more like there’s no tomorrow, and the next thing you know (presumably), everyone’s dead. Just because about 1/3 of the characters are recurring, not much pleasantries are needed!? Ima hellishly endure a 12-episode Yin-less sequel, and just when I thought things couldn’t go any worse, I’m forced to listen to the tune of a newly formed band of misfits, while having less of a shot on ever finding a substitute face to grow. Should this sequel even be taken seriously? Compared to the first, the every little step of the way proved to be much grimmer.
-God knows how hard I laughed when boyfriend *spoiler met his end alert* at the swarm of roaches while Hei virtually got away unscathed. It sure sucks to be him though; his luck quickly ran out in just a day or so I remember.
Btw, since this series has undergone a huge makeover, I took the liberty of giving its title a much appropriate facelift. We finally got to see the other "twins" anyway; God, I wonder which Gemini does the title actually refers to???
Also, I can't help but point out how annoyingly inappropriate this POOP song is for this show. My ears almost literally fell off only after hearing it twice in full length... but that's what I had intended to post from a week ago, of course. Now, I'm more convinced than ever that it fits way too perfectly, ironically.
The PV's not even anything worth watching so it should be on everyone's best interest to just listen, that is if you even care about listening at all.

The scene where Yin appeared had connected the two dots I’ve been clueless about since episode 1. First is the reason why Hei is still looking for the meteor core. Second is where Yin had gone to, given that Hei managed to return. It is obvious that Yin is still trapped inside the Hell’s Gate dimension since the Tokyo Explosion and it is likely Hei is trying to use the meteor core that he’s looking for to bring her back, even to the point of collaborating with the CIA.
I read that on a site checkin to see what other people thought of the series.
As of Episode 3 of Gemini of the Meteor, Hei has lost his contractor powers due to a strange machine in an ambush by MIAC agents but still has most of his skills and equipment.
...also read that and was unaware of that fact. Does make sense since in ep. 3 he does grapple the guard and makes a motion and nothin happens, then the guard reacts.

The only explanation I can find for this is that Hei still has his equipment and was shielded against the bugs. He had his grappling hook so he obviously has shit on underneath his coat. The second thing is he is out of sight of the girl and I'm sure since she just became a Contractor days ago she isn't very powerful. So opposed to the normal civilian right in front of her, Hei the hi-tech equiped veteran would be harder to kill. I mean his jacket is bullet-proof. I think it'll hold of the roaches.

Didn't bother to explain just how they escaped. I mean after shooting that big gun around did a ship pop out of nowhere and they hopped on? ...also now she is a Contractor? When did that happen.
