Not really true, since some of the remuneration are forced acts. remember Louie, the Gravity User who has a painful remuneration of breaking his own fingers. I bet that wasn't an obsession based on his reactions when he broke his fingers. and Remember November the Ice user, he clearly states that he hates smoking, and always coughs up everytime he does his remuneration.

I'm confused by this reply.
I said that in the versions I HAVE WATCHED the translator put "obsession" in place of "remuneration"
So there is no confusion, season one when Yin was being chased by her father one of the contractors wrote poetry and his partner said "Thats a cute obsession you have." The "obsession" being his "remuneration" just that the translator didn't put remuneration. Since I watched the entirety of season one with "obsession" I don't use "remuneration."
The only reason I made that point was that I was somewhat offended that the poster ignored my answer for "Why did he made the drawings?" I said "Though I can't be sure" since I only watched ten seconds of the episode and had no idea what scene he was refering to.

契約対価 "Keiyaku Taika" isn't translated as obsession, it's literally translated as a "Contractors Payment", that is also referred to as remuneration and obeisance
and if I literally translate it with google
契約 (Keiyaku) = Contract
対価 (Taika) = Compensation
There's not a single meaning of obsession in it. and If I translate it by kanji it would mean
Agreement, About, Versus, Value

Wow, this anime is really great!, so much that I watched the first season in just a day. Im already in season 2 right now and waiting for teh next episode. Man I feel bad Hei lost his ability. Um, I was wondering, could he still get back his ability?

I wasn't sure what you meant by obsession at first. I mean, I knew he was obsessed with drawing those pictures but I didn't make the connection that it was his remuneration or that you thought obsession and remuneration meant the same thing. Sorry if you thought I blew off your response though.
Also, I think Kaimax is right - remuneration is different from obsession. Most importantly, remuneration means it is a form of payment for a agreement or contract(I'm sure I'm stating the obvious) but really mean that obsession doesn't mean that. Changing the words really changes the portrayal of how their powers work. It makes it seem like they were cursed with an addiction instead of having to perform their remuneration out of payment for the use of their powers.

well, I watched season 1 without taking a break same as season 2. :)
I dont really mind the time if I really like the anime.

So I just finished ep. 8 in about... less than... fifteen seconds. The only scene I actually watched for five seconds (maybe) was Hei talking to the Russian from ep. 1 and stabbing his hand and I already guessed the entire episode which is pathetic seeing as how in only watching ten seconds I understood all twenty three minutes. Series sucks and episode was bad.
