They have NO REASON to comment on it, his outfit is NOT unusual within the CG-verse.

The only thing "off" with his outfit is the mask, which he uses for quite obvious reasons.

This was very entertaining and almost as dramatic as Code Geass. I love internet arguments. I only wished that I would have found this earlier so that I could have joined in on the fun.

On to the subject I think that Code Geass is one of the greatest animes I've ever seen as far as plot goes. They're others that do different aspects better but nothing compares to Code Geass's twists even if at times they get a little ridiculous.

The point is, Zero's outfit isn't that strange in the world of Code Geass. You seem to think that it is, but it isn't. If Zero's outfit is strange, then why isn't Kallen's strange?



Who would wear an outfit like that, seriously? Hell, who would design an outfit like that? Oh yeah, it was the people who made the anime, so it would appeal to more people.

So, if I have it right (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), you dislike Zero's outfit because it seems odd that no one would call him out on it. But people are surprised at the appearance of Zero, and part of their surprise may come from the odd outfit. Or, people may not say something about the outfit because it's not that strange, considering the strange shit that other characters wear. Or maybe, just maybe, people understand that Zero is sort of acting like a hero from a manga and don't find it odd that he would wear what he does. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because how people react to Zero's outfit makes up about 0.00001% of the plot of the show.

Well - most costumes in CG sucked dead gophers (emperor Lelouch especially). That didn't stop me from watching though and I got used to them eventually since the series tried to be consistent in promoting the fabulous brand.


Kallen had the best outfits BTW.

well fashion in anime is really different from real life and I often get used to it after watched it for a while.

I don't really care that much about costume designs. I sortof assumed the Zero costume was itself supposed to represent opposition to the Empire, by being similar in style, but a bit more simple and dark. I also assumed it was meant to be sensational as Zero was meant to be a symbol, and shouldn't look ordinary.

I liked Code Geass because it got closer to inspiring genuine emotion out of me than any other anime; or show or film at all, for that matter.
It also could be really fucking... dark at times.

But like I said, I also enjoyed that a show could pull me in like that.

Also has some great fanservice. Always a plus.

The fact that Lelouch was in CG is really the biggist reason i hated the show. I mean revenge god thats so boring now everyone dose it. I want a story where the hero is the one who the bad guy is seeking revenge on thats not so used.

Also bad guys in CG piss me off. There all so lame and weak all they got are big armies ohhhhh. I liked Mao because he didnt need an army to fuck Lelouch up. Now let the debate restart.

Well you can't always get what you want about the hero being a bad guy. It just doesn't work that way.

And the bad guys in CG aren't weak. They're military commanders i.e. Clovis, Schneizel so it makes sense for them to command huge armies. Mao was more like a person who can do things himself just not on a heavier level. Mao was able to screw Lelouch up a bit but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. So I wouldn't say that Mao had any any huge impact on Lelouch the way Schneizel did him. Again you haven't seen all of CG so you wouldn't know that. But that's what happened.

Ok read up on Schneizel impressed by character coolness but still dissagree. While they are military commanders most of them have that and only that even Schneizel only sweet because he's in the royal family and has power. If stripped of that he would be so weak as with all the bad guys. If losing your rank takes all your power away you were a weakling.

Zechs Merquise from gundam wing even with his contry gone still a badass in the movie.

To me, one of the themes of Code Geass is that physical strength doesn't equal power, and just because you can lift 300 pounds, that doesn't mean you can't get your ass kicked by a puny guy who can't lift 75 pounds. Shit, the main character is pathetic when it comes to physical ability. A middle school kid could probably beat Lelouch up in a fight. And the main enemies of the series are generals and such who use strategy and intelligence to defeat their opponents. Isn't that much more interesting than incredibly strong people beating up other incredibly strong people?

I mean, I like Dragonball Z and Bleach, but strategy never comes into play in those series. It's always two guys fighting, and the stronger guy wins. Keep that going, and you get written into a corner. That's why when Dragonball GT was made, Goku had to be turned into a little kid, because he was too fucking powerful! There was no one else for him to beat. But with Code Geass, Lelouch could always lose, because he didn't have the strongest army in the world, and he couldn't just lock himself in a room for a few days and triple his fighting power.

Except Schneizel (you spelled his name right) is still a mother fucking genius. Lelouch built an army from scratch, and I think that Schneizel could too. Schneizel doesn't even give 100% effort into anything he does, he's just schneizeleffort all the time. Therefore, Schneizel is not weak.

True that. Most battles in Code Geass are comparable to chess matches, and they draw that parallel frequently. Although there are characters that show strength as individuals, they are not as important as the strategy.

Dragonball GT was mainly made for retcon and to fill in some GIANT plot holes from DBZ. Namely the number of times several people were revived by the dragonballs, despite the rules originally stated about them.

Ok i'll give you that most of the time it dosnt in those shows but i'll give you an example for both.

But the fact of the matter is if you look at the show it dosnt really support that theroy. While he uses stratagy most of the fights are in mechs so it's the mech strength you have to gauge. And the mechs are beasts the red one on Lelouch's side took out like "80 other mechs in one episode alone". When he's down what happens a stronger mech shows up. So it is still strength that drives the anime.

Well...your examples could be considered strategy, but seriously, holding a guy and being shot at isn't a very good one. Mayuri just happened to have the drug in Nemu, he didn't put it in her for that fight. A better example would have been Mayuri replacing his organs. It took some preparedness and planning to do that, although nothing else came of it.

As for mech fights, you said yourself that its the mech strength you have to gauge, which happens to be what Lelouch did. Whenever he was met with a stronger force, he was usually prepared beforehand with a strategy to defeat them.

I wouldn't consider Mayuri replacing his organs or drugging Nemu strategy. Mayuri just got lucky that Grantz impregnated Nemu. Even if they are, they aren't very good ones like thekorolev said. DBZ and Bleach are good animes to a point but they're nothing but pure fighting. There's hardly any strategy involved to make a huge impact.

I was going to say something about that earlier, but I decided against it, so I'll say it now.

Gin, antagonizing someone is not the way to get your point across. If anything, it lessens how much people will listen to you. If you purposefully try and irritate people, others will view you as a dick and not listen to your opinions.

@ Mr. Bushido - True, luck did play a big part in that battle, but then luck plays a part in many battles. I agree that with DBZ and Bleach, there is little strategy involved, anything that could be considered strategy, is technically tactics and thought of on the spot.
