Dose anyone else Hate! Code Geass.

Nice necrobump, but I'd have to say I liked the 1st season of Code Geass and the 2nd season was kind of a disappointment. One of the things I hated was that Shirley died... and second the ending kind of sucked because Lelouch didn't have to die or atleast that's what I think.

The ending wouldn't have made much sense any other way. Because then he would have just been a HUGE dick to the world.
The series pretty much had to end the way it did, if it ended differently, it would have been stupid.

Agreed that the 1st season was much better.

But I think the fact that Lelouch died made it such a good ending. I liked the guy, but it just added awesome drama and some meaning to the second season.

Yeah I liked the guy too that's kind of why at the very end where C.C. was quoting something from Lelouch and said "Right? Lelouch." it makes me want to think he's still alive lol. And all that drama of when he died wouldn't of been as epic if it weren't for Nunally, damn that made me shed a tear. And I just thought of another thing that was kind of dumb was the Black Knights and how they didn't even bother to hear Lelouch's side of the story and immediately decided to betray him.

Lelouch is dead though, and the Black Knights; that was a 50/50 thing. One half:Black Knights found out who Zero really is and the way He did things(damn Schneizel). The other half: Zero(lelouch) told them that they were nothing more than piece in the game of chess that was their war(at that time, lelouch give up on living after witnessing nunnally's fake death).

lol, I totally agree, when that happened literally said to myself "really? Is that even possible?". Also, the whole "Peace on Earth" thing was to be truthful and in reality, 100% pure bullshit. Yes, Zero becomes a symbol of hope, but there is no way in hell that 1/3rd of the world is going to go and say "O, the last Emperor who freed us from Britannia, destroyed everything that had to deal with Britannia's past, and also killed his own father is now dead, we're fine with the fact that your armies murdered our people and treated us like slaves and also take away our lands, freedom, dignity, and pride. Yeah, we're 100% fine with that." BULL. SHIT. If it was the real world, there would be no way in hell that countries in Middle East, South Eastern Asia, East Europe, and African countries would do nothing, the truth is they would probably rebel and declare war on China, Japan, and Britannia. I mean, that's 33%-50% of the entire world against 3 countries. I'm pretty sure that those countries rebelling are either gonna win, or die trying.

You are missing the point. Lelouch essentially became evil incarnate, the source of all hatred, while Zero still existed as a symbol of justice. Lelouch demolished all the 'evil' that was in the system of Brittania, so when Lelouch became the dictator of the world, the evils of Brittania seemed petty compared to the evils that Lelouch committed. It's like the idea that Lelouch washed away the name of "Massacre Princess" by spilling even more blood. By the time Lelouch was killed, the world was so focused on hating him that they forgot about all the other evils.

Since this thread is alive again, I'll throw out something I noticed recently, rewatching R2 on Adult Swim:

People love to say that Lelouch is alive because he "killed" Charles in C's World and became immortal, right? Well, when you become immortal, you lose the power of Geass that you had. That's why no one falls in love with C.C. anymore. So, if Lelouch had become immortal in C's World, then he wouldn't have been able to use his Geass to make everyone obey him afterwards.

I watched it for CC, so I could get into the Doujins.

Actually I didn't know that lol so I should say thanks saying all that and as for me I'm not saying that I think he's still alive because he killed Charles, but more so because I liked the guy enough to just want to think he's still alive.

P.S. Because I'm a romantic I'd like to say Lelouch and Shirley would of made a better couple, but she died... so next comes Lelouch and Kallen which would of worked out fine as well.

I love Code Geass, it was good from start to finish for me, season 1 and 2. Code Geass is awesome!
