Ok read carfully this time. I didnt say that Lelouch couldn't become leader after a while. But after like one battle he became leader that dosn't make sence.

Once again I can see him joining and after a while taking control but not after like one battle it's just stupid.

Also the reason I stoped is because I hated almost every episode I saw. One good episode out of 14 isnt a good anime. The episodes were perdictible had anoying charcters that just wobbled around doing nothing.

P.S I don't really get the "win" thing I dont think of this thread as a win lose thing. I like this debate rather much and apriciate feedback pos or neg (as long as it's not hate towards other users). I dont expect to change anyones opinion and dont care. It's you guys who seem intent on changing my opinion of the show.

Initially, they weren't even really an organization. When they meat Lelouch, the where just a group of terrorists that had almost no impact whatsoever, and Ohgi wasn't much of a leader. Lelouch basically formed them into a group an asserted himself at the top. It is implied that he is a brilliant strategist and tactician both on the battlefield and with people, so it isn't a great stretch of the imagination that he would do so. Also, as some others mentioned, it can't really be compared to a military situation, because in the military there are more protocols and firmly established ranks, so a private wouldn't be in a position to take command of a battlefield in almost any situation. Although if the leaders died or failed to preform their duty, field promotions can be given. This is rare, but not impossible. It's also mostly irrelevant to the situation you are talking about. But although it is not likely people would fallow someone they don't know at all, it sortof came down to a choice between doing that or dieing, so they did what they had to in order to survive.
Something else to note is that Zero is not seen as a person for the most part, but being better and capable of greater things than a human would be.

I doubt you will change your mind on the show, and I'm not a person who will tell you that you must watch it because it's so great or whatever. I understand that even things I really enjoy, not everyone else will. There isn't any point in you watching something if you don't enjoy it. But you also can't expect to say that you hate something a lot of people absolutely love and have no one get mad and shit.
It's also worth mentioning that you can't really consider something a plot hole if it is explained later in the show and you just didn't watch long enough to see it explain. It then becomes a plot device.
I'm not saying you would like the show if you finished watching it, I doubt you would, I'm just saying that some things you disliked about the show may have worked themselves out.

It comes down to a matter of opinion more than anything.

This isn't really a "debate" Gin. It's just you being stubborn and making up far-fetched accusations just to stand in some imaginary spotlight/fuel your own ego.

No one ever forced you to start liking the series nor did you need reasons of any sort. Sometimes we just dislike something even though it's widely recognized and that's absolutely ok (called personal taste BTW). Still, you chose to quarrel (not debate, just quarrel) with people who are very good with their words and know exactly what they're talking about and all you've managed to prove is that you are utterly unable to prove a single point and simply love to ignore/twist the arguments of others.
Feel free to ignore this as well since I won't say anything else.

Well let me clerify one point I came into CG thinking it would be a good series. I was boared watching every episode. It felt like a chore having to sit though entire episodes.

No you probaly wouldn't....but hey!: it's a friggin anime, It doesn't have to make perfect sence. Isn't that like one of the reasons we watch them in the first place?

But if you want you can ofcourse go back to the: ''Death God teenagers, running around fighting guys with holes in their body'', anime. Since it makes perfect sence, doesn't it? :?

Note that I have nothing bad to say against Bleach ( ''Manga'' ), but it's quite annoying that you whine about a show you hate because it doesn't make any common sence...when your at the same is time watching an serie that's pretty much the same..or maybe even more in lack of it...

Seemed like a very particular situation. I think the conditions are more unusual than the fact that he was able to assert himself as leader in a very short amount of time, and that they are what allowed him to do so. Primarily, as I said, they were a disorganized group operating inside a territory completely controlled by their enemy. He was able to organize them and give them direction. It's not really as complicated as you seem to think it is.

But again, if you didn't like the show, you didn't like the show. I don't care if you don't watch it if it was that difficult for you to watch. There are shows I feel that way about. Of course, those shows are genuinely terrible...

Seriously I think dropping this is a better idea. Dante you have made a good argument, but that argument has already been presented by many others. If you continue all that's going to happen is being stuck in an endless loop of ridiculous reasons to hate the show...

I'm not dogging him for hating the show, I'm dogging him for the fact that our arguments seem to bounce off him. His arguments are baseless and if he payed attention his arguments would have been answered... and even when we try to explain it seems as if he disregards it...

I was just saying that this thread got a little heated, and I just wanted to be fair, and not be an asshole just because he doesn't agree with me.

1st Dante1214 it is appriciated not many are as level headed as you. I consider myself in that catigorie as well I lose my cool often but try to keep it level headed when I can.

2nd It's not that i'm ignoring other peoples position I think about it excpesially when it's been said 50 times in a row. But I disregard it because it dosn't make sence. I agreed with someone a while back about something with the Mecha because it made some sence. But randomly rising to the top of an orginization (it is an orginization because it has members and was attacking an armmed force together following the orders of one man and was formed before that battle) dose not make sence.

3rd Bamass123 I consider CG a serious anime thats trying to be realistic. Animes like bleach follow different rules because their in different catigories. Bleach isnt trying to be realistic in the same way it makes that clear it has shinigami and what not so we accept that as normal. What I get from your post is that if a bunch shinigami showed up everyone would be like well even know that dosn't make sence it's an anime so it's ok. I accepted the Mechas the powers and all that but it trys to follow the rules of the world in human acpects. So I can just let flaws like that slide.

Well, it may be trying to be more realistic than many other shows, but it still takes place in an alternate world in which immortality and super powers exist. The realism is likely more for dramatic effect than anything else.

And I guess you could call them an organization, but my point still remains that they were not at all powerful without Zero. He made them what they were.

Ok I am paranoid but people are just not that trusting terrorists/rebels would be alot more carful with their cause. Then to just turn it over to some random guy they just met "who appers to want to help".

First off, I wouldn't call them an 'organization' at the beginning because there was what, 10 people? They weren't doing anything and had little long term plans for their goal. As for trusting him, everyone else has already given good reasons why earlier^. They were desperate, they needed someone that could actually get things done, and Lelouch was that person.

Did you watch code geass r2? It was not a good series. There were several pointless things about it. Bleach by many people is considered a good series. It is all subjective anyway. The chess game was one of plotholes where the game made no sense at all. The characters were not done very well at all. Cowboy Bebop was a great anime only problem I see with it was the slowness it had starting off to some people. Also @ gin my problem with bleach is every arc they literally do the same thing and nobody important dies ever. Also its turned into staring contest and dbz with swords. First they have to save save rukia and then orohime? Come on kubo can do better than that.
