It's already been 9 weeks since then so I certainly cannot remember "his" voice and I seriously don't plan on checking back anytime soon until the series is over.


Probable, but if that's basically "his(?)" main objective, shouldn't be there at least a couple more deaths? We're late in the series yet there are still 10 Selecaos who are left standing. Now, if the animated film (hopefully a sequel) could give answers to those... it should work out just fine.


There's also that possibility of him being the Supporter but I doubt it's likely. Judging by his character, Akira sure is unfit for the role. If he's really the Supporter, he must have been hesitant and unwilling to fulfill his duties, coming up with a way of his own to avoid it - by simply forgetting everything that there is about it; even if it means losing his identity in the process. (a bit far-fetched but plausible)

I can see why some are either wary or gunning for him at this point but that's the least of my concerns. What I'm wondering is about whether or not the deaths of # IV and # V have a connection to Akira somehow. They did make contact with him as much as to take away his phone and share some information, unlike # XI who only had a casual conversation and applied first aid treatment. It's safe to say that IV & V were running low on budget and so the Supporter ("suddenly") decided to remove them from the game (just after they've met Akira - coincidence?), as simple as that. But as we continue to speculate, it only gets more and more ambiguous.

Why should he care? He's dead.

It's only hours or minutes away (I'm not sure) before the finale airs in Japan. As much as I don't want this to end yet, I'm also very excited about it.

Hmm ... well, those three guys are almost certainly all going to die. If we assume XII is the Supporter, then they can't be allowed to live after having come so close to controlling the system behind the game, called "Juiz". If the Supporter doesn't exist, then Akira is the one who will have to deal with them. You can't exactly let a guy run around who's willing to use missiles on innocent people as a deluded act of vengeance, can you? XI (the Johnny chopper) will probably receive an off-screen death. I can't see her actively trying to help Akira. Episode 11 will probably end on a cliffhanger because of the movie. Also, I think the rest of the Selecao won't make an appearance until the movie.

How about Akira then? He's no longer as "innocent" as he looks. If I'm the supporter, I'd certainly be keeping close tabs on him.

But the thing is, whether or not XII is the Supporter, I doubt he'd be able to do anything about those missiles or it might be more appropriate to say that he doesn't give a damn about it. Everything else lies at the hands of the one true Messiah; Akira, Takizawa, IX, or whatever name it is you'd like to call him. The ED sequence where he was shooting down missiles with only his (literal) "handgun" will most likely come into play.


If HE, Supporter or Outside, cannot let a guy run around in the open like that, why has HE only began to move now when the missile launch is already seemingly too late to stop? Why did HE just let X run those tests, which we came to know as "Careless Monday"?

Those are some of the facts (more of questions) leading to my conclusion that XII is neither the Supporter or Mr. Outside. But I haven't, much to say, cannot exactly determine that of course, can I? The Juiz "relocation request" that XII issued didn't really give definite answers as it is, or did it? It's not like XII necessarily has to know what Juiz is before he can actually ask her to move herself...


I also think that she'll no longer have any part to play in the finale but please don't say that - "an off-screen death" is just too much depressing. :(


We'll see. I'm still hoping that the ending will not be abrupt, somewhere along the lines where Akira finally meets face to face with the Supporter/Outside then cut. But then we have Saki who, at the very start of the series, was looking back on where it all began, in a chance encounter with her mysterious Prince. I suppose it would be best to end it there, where it started.

With that said, what's to happen with the Eden gang, most esp Saki (we seem to have forgotten about her)? I guess it's safe to say that the two ain't gonna have a "happily ever after" (fairy tale) ending. What do you say about the chances of Akira getting killed? Anyone?

I haven't watched episode 11 yet, but I want to cover some things first.


The Supporter keeps tabs on all the Selecao, so saying he is keeping a close eye on Akira is redundant. I agree that the Supporter isn't going to do anything about the missiles since they are within the rules.

Quite true. Moving Juiz is different from wanting to control the system; it would probably be within the rules. But the question becomes: Who else would be aware that Number I's actions would be an attempt at controlling the system?


I find it hard to think of anything that will happen to the Eden gang. We have a vague idea of what they are like and how they are NEETs, but I can't see much happening with them because it would lack meaning. So I guess they either stay NEETs or turn into 'normal' people. As for Akira, I think his chances of living through this are about 50/50. Though I say that, there isn't really much room to kill him off. The most likely scenario would be that he dies before the end of the 'game', but the NEETs act as a 'successor' to carry out Akira's will.

On another note, I find it odd that Number I is aware of what Akira said after being betrayed. I wonder if it's possible that Akira was working with Number I and his cronies before and they betrayed him.

Edit: Also, the attention to detail in the show is quite something. A blogger pointed out an image in episode 10 showing semi-trucks moving Juiz as Akira and Number I were walking towards the building.

Perhaps my wording was off. If a Supporter really does exist, then he's probably been doing that from the start (as far as we know). All I meant to say was, it isn't likely that HE ("Spt") would just spare Akira, if HE's to eliminate the 3 for simply knowing about or almost taking over Juiz.


My bad. Though I just can't imagine Akira doing the "dirty work" (thus assuming that you were referring to XII) even if he HAS TO. I don't think he'd be able to kill any of the 3 nor a fly for that matter unless... someone else's life is to be put at stake.


It's probably just a matter of timing. We have no idea what XII is plotting at this point but regardless of his true identity, he must be a real smart guy to be able to figure out Mononobe's plans by merely keeping track of his (and a few others) activities (balances/purchases/transactions). Asking Juiz for a "celebratory bottle of champagne" already implies something and for someone who uses his brain (there's no need for a genius), it wouldn't be impossible to put a puzzle altogether.


Again, we'll see.

About the gang, I'm not saying that anything bad will happen to them. I'm kinda like asking cause to be honest, I can't think of anything specific.

And as for the scenario you've brought up, the NEETs succeeding over his will is so damn "corny" to even think about... just where the hell did you come up with such a cliche? :lol:

ed: just to clarify, X didn't even know that it was IX when he first saw him outside of Pantsu's place. How come all of a sudden, he just acted as if he knew first hand about the betrayal incident?

I've just watched Episode 11. Pretty good series. Now it's waiting for the 2 movies that follow

This has made me think... After watching the last episode and reading your post, I'm pretty sure that Ato Saizo is still alive, and that he is in fact the old smirky taxi driver the series seemed to deem worthy enough to focus on for quite a long time after the main characters had left the shot.

He would spare Akira because he wasn't involved with taking over Juiz. All that happened before he got involved, so while there is reason to think Akira would break the rules, he hasn't broken any yet. Come to think about it, it's possible that only the person who paid the money to get to Juiz would be eliminated by the Supporter.


Well, it is hard to think that Akira would do that, or do something 'underhanded' like stealing their phones and then throw them in prison, but the situation is escalating and he can't always afford to be kind. There will be a breaking point there somewhere.


Code Geass. But it's funny now because in a way that's what happened in the recent episode.


If I remember correctly, it was Number I who was saying all the details. It just creeps me out that he would say "You said the exact same thing back then". It implies he was present with Akira right after the betrayal.


Well, I didn't really mean anything by it, just an observation. You might have found a plot hole in that Number I didn't notice the contents of the truck, but then again it might have been overconfidence or maybe a self-assuredness that Juiz couldn't be moved without damaging her/it.
