Fairy Tail is Finally Getting an Anime!

I'm hoping they'll limit it to 52 episodes and end it after either the Tower or Luxus arc. That way there'll be good pacing, and by the time they decide to make another anime (not even necessary, necessarily) there will be a lot more material.

hopefully this be an anime that goes on and on like naruto bleach n one piece because if it just going to be 50 episodes or whatever well i fear for the worst lol but if they just keep going like well past 100 episodes then well it will be greatness

Actually when i think about it it will probably only bout 50 eps or so and they will probably stop the show around the time Gerard was so called killed n stuff

And is the cat being voiced by Rie Kugimiya?

First of all - the OST will be made of awesome! These irish-like themes fit exactly to the battle scenes, can't wait for it to come out. Even though I've read manga, the first fight actually gave me a goosebump. As for opening and ending, te opening song is rather good with not-so-interesting animation, but the ending animation perfect (chibi Erza for teh lulz) but the song isn't anythign special.
Happy is also a serious plus - Rie Kugimiya's doing one hell of a job on him, and it looks like the whole VA staff will really fit (except Natsu, he just sounds a little weird - it's not bad, but the VA imo just doesn't fit him).

As for the plot, hopefully the starting sequence with explanation about vizards and stuff won't be repeated, since it's just wasting of time... and this ep covered about 2 or 3 chapters from the manga. And the job's well done, I must admit.

I'm absolutely gonna watch this series, even if it should be for the OST and Happy.

Well, just watched the first episode. I'm currently reading the manga right now so I already digged the plot and the characters. I enjoyed the ost a lot. It just seemed to fit the scenes so well, and I can't wait to hear more of it. The animation was nice, and I'm glad that they changed it a bit from it's appearance in the manga. As for the voices? Lucy's is pretty fitting, I suppose, and I enjoy Natsu's a lot, (since the voice of Kamina is doing it, lol). Overall, very nice, and I shall continue watching.

just watched it, and yeah only Natsu's voice is a little bit different from my imagination, and seems like I'm biased with Haru from Rave (Tomokazu Seki) and predicted Natsu will have a hot-headed voiced.

the rest of them Lucy (Aya Hirano), Gray (Yuuichi Nakamura), Erza (Sayaka Ohara) and Happy (Rie Kugimiya) are all perfect.

Animations and OST are great, and personally I think Lucy is beautiful. Good thing they didn't made her an ELIE archtype.

So Ep one was pretty good though I have to say I hate fucking Nastus voice god that is going to piss me off all season. Also what was up with those symbols during his attacks don't remember that in the manga.

Oh and can't wait for my Waifus first appearance and she was in the credits anyone catch that yeah in chibi form too so cute :smile:

I actually don't like the animation. I can't explain it, but it's not perfect. Not saying I hate it, I just think that it's not as good as it could have been. And yeah, what the fuck was up with the magic circles whenever they did an attack? God, I hope they stop that shit.

An enjoyable show, for sure, even if some things aren't that great.

Why? I like 'em. Feel that it adds to the effect.

Because they weren't in the manga and it really doesn't fit Nastus fighting style when he starts getting into the intense fights I can tell it's going to be so fucking annoying because it's just useless clutter in the middle of fight scenes why they would add it is beyond me.

Though I'm just waiting for the filler that's going to be so much fun!

You know what else wasn't in the manga?

Moving pictures.

Whenever a work, any work, gets adapted to a new media, obviously new things are gonna be introduced, or old things cut. It's what happens when a new brain takes over the collective.

For instance, I LIKE the circles. Why?

As I said, it adds to the effect. I always hated how in a shonen series, characters could take off horizontally and vertically without giving any real reason for WHY they could do so other than the usual "Because I'm from an anime".

Seeing Natsu use the circles as launch platforms kills that little tick for me.

As well, I think I've had a fanboner for magic circles ever since Nanoha, so that's another reason.
