Fairy Tail is Finally Getting an Anime!

OST is finally released since yesterday! I've only heard some kind of official samples so far, but dear god, IT'S AWESOME! Best OST of any '09 show, no contest. At least for anyone loving rock/metal themes since this one is obviously full of them.
If anyone knows some torrent/ddl for a regular version, I would appreciate it... I'm checking all possible (along with impossible) sites for the rip to come out and the wait's killing me.

I was reluctant to watch Fairy Tale because of the name but, after watching it, (I just saw the newest episode earlier) I'm sure it's getting licensed in the future.

I only found it since it was in the top ten of anime's on some site. I'll never look back with regret. Go go Natsu xD
Edit: this is a definate must watch in my opinion. It has some nice fighting moments that others don't have. If only there were outright fighting moments, non stop, non talking fights. It would be even more epic.

Okay, so something been bugging me about this series for a while...
Are celestial wizards just inherently wimpy? Lucy should be one if, if not THE strongest celestial wizard in the world. I was really surprised when they disclosed that Zodiac keys were unique, since at the time she had 5 of them. Now she has 6, and she's at best a little above average. I would expect that ownership of 50% of the world's most powerful summoning tools would put her in the category of Wizard Saint.
I guess quality > quantity, eh?

This anime series needs some loving.
This is one of the few shonen series that grabbed my attention from the getgo once I started watching it a month back. I never usually involve myself in series that are longer than 50 oddsome episodes unless we're talking oldies like DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, and a few select others. (shonen trio excluded)
But man, this series has everything in spades. One of the things that impressed me was the voice-acting. This show has got to have the best voice-acting I've seen in a long time. The cast is simply awesome. You have Tetsuya Kakihara voicing Natsu Dragneel, who is able to pin down the funny yet brash and spirited side of Natsu, as Tetsuya Kakihara voiced Simon from TTGL. Everytime Natsu speaks, yells, and powers up in moments of battle, I tremble before his GARness. Then you have Aya Hirano voicing Lucy Heartfilia. Unlike Aya's previous roles, she's been put into a real shonen role. When Lucy was trying to save Loki in episode 32, I was simply awestruck by Aya Hirano's diversified voice talent. It was so emotionally-charged and GAR that manly tears formed. You have Rie Kugimiya voicing the ever cute and tsukomi-speaking Happy. Happy has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen in a shonen series. I had my share of laughs watching Happy be himself. Then there's Yuichi Nakamura voicing Gray Fullbuster, and he does a good job like Tetsuya in being GAR. Yuichi Nakamura voiced Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad and other notable roles too. And Sayaka Ohara voicing Erza was awesome too (she's got too many roles to speak of).
In short, the voicing talent helped bring this anime series more than standard shonen fare. While the animation is nothing brilliant to speak of, it doesn't need to. Another facet of the series I liked was the character development and interaction. Whether it be Natsu destroying things and getting motion-sickness, or Gray stripping nude, or Happy being a comedian, or Erza being a hardass, or Lucy being on the receiving end of Fairy Tail antics and her spirit Aquarius, it was really well done. Unique character pasts and good interaction made me like this series more and more. Also, at least Natsu has an excuse for powering up since his emotions and resolution control the intensity of the flames. Most shonen series are like, "Shit, there's a powerful enemy I can't beat... what do I do? I powerz upper by sheer will!" Lol, it's one of the plot devices I hate the most in anime, but this show does a good job in downplaying that plot device into something more natural.
If there's anything else, the plot is unique with magicians in guilds with a very interesting universe Fairy Tail is situated in. The music and soundtrack are also things to take note of. I've never heard of the band Funkist until I watched Fairy Tail, and I have to admit they're pretty good. Same thing for the OST creator, Yasuharu Takanashi, he did a good job in creating fantasy pieces for the series.
Having said all that, I can't wait til they hit the next story arc.

Pretty much. I need to catch up with the anime, but I am updated with the manga. I just love this series. When Naruto ends, i'm absolutely sure Fairy Tail is gonna be in the TOP 3 of Shounen.
