How did you get into anime?

Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, among other anime I cannot remember at the time.

Same here. I started with Elfen Lied at 16 after my friend sent me an AMV of it. It looked interesting so i checked it out and next thing you know I'm hooked on anime. It's true what they say...

It was probably Pokemon and Digimon that I watched after school, but it wasn't until Zoids that I became aware of anime as a whole.

I liked Pokemon and Digimon, but I was (and still am) in love with Zoids. I actually watched New Century Zero first, but eventually a local station aired Chaotic Century/Guardian Force at 4 in the morning on Saturday, of all times, and I always got up early every Saturday to watch it. I eventually started looking up Zoids on the internet and became familiar with the term "anime," as a result.

I just watch anime airing on the TV on Sundays while I was little, I remembered it was Doraemon, Dragon Ball, and other stuff like that.

Things that used to come on the TV back in the 1990s or early 2000s, such as Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Hamtaro, and DBZ. Then I started looking anime up on the internet.

Started with Toonami way back then, but I didn't know it was anime.

My teacher's aide made an anime club back in middle school, and he invited me to join. That was my first taste of what anime really was...

My best friend got me hooked. I think it was around my junior high school days. He brought over some of the Silent Möbius, Noir, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, etc VHS tapes. He didn't have all the tapes, so I went on a hunt to find the stuff. Before I knew it I was hooked for life and now I watch the stuff more than TV these days. I really appreciate what all the fansub groups do for us fans. :)

I started watching Tenchi Muyo

I watched different anime on AXN such as Ranma 1/2, The Legend of the Condor Hero, Samurai X, Cooking Master Boy, Vandread, and etc.

I first watched Naruto on Toonami, which later lead to Bleach, which lead to other animes by Viz, and so on.

I was browsing porn...then saw naked pictures of anime girls...fapped...then I wanted to see them move and the rest is history...and still capping...

I had always been somewhat into anime even before I knew it was anime going back to when I was a young kid, I would watch Speed Racer, Noozles, The Littl' Bits and what have you. I didn't know they were anime at the time (and didn't till a couple of years ago minus Speed Racer).

Around High School I started to look into real anime that I knew was anime. However, at the time I thought anime was Hentai period. Due to the shows that came on like HBO and Cinmax in my house late at night that I would watch. I brought a few VHS tapes like Magic Knights Rayearth, Tenchi in Tokyo and Sakura Diaries. Plus I would watch Toonime to see more Tenchi. However, I wasn't sure of the line between Hentai and Anime and thought those shows were a few that were for younger people. I did know of Dragonball Z but never got into it.

It was around my early college days that I found out what anime really was. Early Adult Swim, I watched all of those shows and loved it, my favorite was Outlaw Star at the time. After that show I was hooked and joined up with the anime club at my college where I learned a lot. I stayed in the club till they elected a new president who would only show anime like Naruto is when I left.

Its the same story as most people...

I started watching Japanese cartoons on english channels like Toonami, and I eventually went on the internet and found the endless goldmine of anime it has to offer.
