How did you get into anime?

who would have thought voltez V and Daimos combi would have pulled me into watching anime? then I hunger for more mecha like SDF macross and Gundam of 0079UC

Well, it first started when I watched Card Captor Sakura, then I thought 'hey this is way better than Tom and Jerry' then I started watching Gundam Wing, Hunter x Hunter some mainstreams until here I started researching for the less popular ones which are usually the good ones.

Add me to that, with a side of Ninku as well.

In my childhood I watched Pokemon, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball on TV, since then I watched animes.

Dragonball in Spanish.When I was a kid,I learned much of my Spanish from db and dbz and luckily a local TV network broadcasted in both Tijuana and Southern California.

This was around the early 90s.

I watched anime when I was a little kid but always thought they were Chinese... Then I was trying to learn japanese, so I started to watch anime (that's kinda how I learned english), beginning with trinity blood.

I remember lots of old anime. I guess I remember Mojacko when I was really young then came Doraemon then I saw other anime then my anime list expanded greatly.

well a friend of mine always watched anime and sometimes i watched some with him and that's how i got into it :3

well when i was younger i remember watching dbz and naruto... I think naruto is what hooked me but i stopped watching it >_>

I friend of mine saw an anime and thought it was interesting, so she invited me to her place to watch. I ended up watching Maburaho, Elfen Lied, and Air. Haven't left home since. lol.

Pokemon was my first anime.
But I really got into anime when my brother watched anime on his pc. I was looking over his shoulder when I was about 8. About then I became an otaku.
My brother didn't. Funny how things turn out.

When I was 5, my dad would turn on Pokemon to wake me up in the morning. And I would watch Sailor Moon on weekends. I totally didn't know that was anime at the time.
Then when I was in 4th grade Adult Swim showed Inuyasha, and I fell in love. And Saturdays Tunami would have Rurouni Kenshin and stuff, and after that I realized:
"MAN I LOVE THIS SHIT"

i watched it every morning when i was little before going to primary school,
...THE very first anime i ever watched was Cardcaptors i was hooked after that!
now i have a good size collection of different anime... >

When I was a kid I watched Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, then when I got older it was all about the Naruto, and I just kept moving up the anime food chain with better and better shows.

Just a short story, which was only watching naruto (when I was still not know very well about the anime)

then one day my uncle accidentally bought a cd that contains several kinds of anime and I accidentally watched it to spend my spare time, and then I also watch anime fate stay night series in which the story is really quite different from the movies anime 2D I used to watch so I find out information through one of my friends about this anime as well like to know more in depth about the existing anime, and my friend finally helped me in getting information and was not in vain I searched and finally as I now this (already quite a lot of anime that I witnessed)

I think its when I was a kid, I watched Captain Tsubasa on the local TV channel
Well its nor that interesting though so I subscribed to a cable TV and watch Animax

DAMNIT! I almost forgot about Ninja Senshi Tobikage (called Ninja Robots here)! I used to watch it like a maniac.
