List of dubs that are as good or better than subbed versions

It goes without saying that some dubs, just because you saw them before seeing the subbed version, hold a special place in your heart.
For me that includes Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Saber Marionette J, FLCL, Dragon Ball Z, and I'm sure there are a few more.
But I prefer subbed over dubbed with anything else.

Yeah genocyber and lodoss wars along with a few other mediocre dubs are fine to me just because I'm used to them. But for dbz, I haven't been able to watch it dubbed since I started watching subbed and I had seen up to some of the ginyu force stuff dubbed before I started watching subbed.

Puni Puni Poemi(Excel Saga's spin off ovas), it was a enough of a pain to keep up with what Poemi was saying in english I would not like to think what the subtitles would have be like. Not that I can say I even enjoyed the ovas their self.

occasionally the japanese version has a voice actor that is just so bad that you can't help but hope to god that the dub version is better(not that it would be hard to be in such cases).
In my opinion, the guy who voiced Inuyasha from the show Inuyasha in japanese sucked way too hard.

I’m sorry; I don’t buy into the fact that dubs are intrinsically inferior to subs. I’ve seen way to many good actors and great performances to believe that. I’ve seen dub actors do line after line after line again and again until it’s perfect. A great majority of the actors and directors care about what they are doing, and put in a lot of hard work to make sure what is released is a quality product.
The Bad Dub is a stereotype that's largely been bypassed. There are still bad dubs, but it's uncommon to find a dub nowadays that isn't at least passable, and a ton of dubs are every bit as equal to their Japanese counterpart. Of course, bad dubs still exsist, as is shown by the 4kids One Piece dub, Sakura Wars, and Hoshi no Koe, but theOften times those who complain of dubs hardly ever take the time to watch them or give them a legitiment chance to survive on their own market without preconceived notions of inferiority. t's pretty widely believed, if not necessarily universally accepted, that the dub for Bebop, FLCL, and FMP are supiroer to the subs.

Back on topic, I think that even if I saw anime in English first (Mine was NGE, surprisingly) I do not care for it in Eng. afterwards. Especially if ADV Films nick the rights.
Therefore, I have no special places in my heart.

I like NGE in English, but I do think the most of the Japanese cast was better, particually Shinji. Asuka and Gendou where better in English, however.
