Well i enjoyed the Eva dubbed too. Definately wasn't crap unlike most dubs. Bebop is the best dub i've ever seen though. They actually matched characters well.

I liked Vandread. The dub was awesome, and the voices fit the characters well. On a completely unrelated note, my cousin is ridin' spinnaz.

but i haven't watched the original Japanese version so i can't really compare it to the original
Hajime no Ippo local dubs were pretty good too
and there were others, like Slam Dunk, YuYu Hakusho, DBZ, and some other old ones :P
i think the dubs were done by our local TV station
but one thing i just can't accept is that they sometimes just cut out the opening and ending parts of the anime and the damned long commercials
so i just stopped watching anime on TV
Animax Asia dubs were sometimes horrible (Hungry Heart)
and hearing the same Sakura voice was getting on me too...
well, i have yet to watch a good English dub of an anime :P

Ghibli movies normally have great american actors for the dub.
But I always take the sub, because my oral comprehension is less good that my reading comprehension.
For the hentai anime, I never watch the english dub, because porn stars dont have the kawaii voice of the japanese version. (When a girl of 15yo have the voice of a 35yo porn star, it's really bad.)

acute scream of the japanese version when they do powerful special attack.

Haven't watched the french version, but otherwise, agreed. The spanish voices are pretty good from what I've watched(only version where frieza sounds cool). But yeah, the japanese voices are better then the dubs I've watched. But then again I tend to prefer everything in its original language, whatever it may be.

I liked the music in the Japanese version, it was goofy at times, but that was just part of the show's charm. I'll take 'head cha la' over 'rock the dragon' any day.

You may call me a faggot but I like dubs. It's a rare case when I absolutely despise a dub(Higurashi's made me want to kill myself)

I totally agree with you Jacob! Most people say the the subbed version of Gundam Seed was better than the dubbed. But since I started watching the dubbed first I sort of just preferred the dubbed. Then I watched Destiny in subbed first and thought it better then the dubbed. Same goes with other animes.

9 times out of 10 I'll take the subbed version over the dubbed.
The exceptions for me are:
NGE: I watched this first as a dub and just can't get into the subs, especially the BAD German used for Asuka in subbed version...ARGH!!
Goldenboy: The dub for this one is GREAT and makes it even funnier.
Ranma 1/2 : Like NGE I watched this first as a dub and that way it holds something for me, and Angela Costain who voiced Nabiki is FANTASTIC.
Dubs I can't stand:
Cardcaptors: They stuffed up the story and then to add insult to injury used some horrible Valley Girl voices for the girls. :shock:
Azumanga Diaoh : Horrible, what did they do to Osaka and Chio-chan's voices...AAARGGGHHH??? :x

I personally like dubs, since I've started anime dubs.
Subs? I don't want subway!
But I've slowly getting into subs. The only subs I like right now is Chaos;Head and Ramen Fighter Miki.

Negima was done pretty well, some people hate Negi's voice, but HE IS ENGLISH AND TEN YEARS OLD. I guess people expected a deep voice and six pack.

I didn't think he sounded like Harry Potter, he just sounded like a ten year old English kid. Then again, I like his voice because it fits and its funny. It sounds like his voice squeaks and cracks at the same time. The other characters fitted very well though. I'm still looking for that perfect dubbed anime. My list would be, Negima, NGE, Higurashi (When They Cry in English,) and Black Cat. The thing about me though is, if the main characters of the anime have a good voice, I'm fine with the dub. It doesn't have to be EVERY character.

OMG please don't get mad at me this is just my opinion but I wanted to kill Geneon for what they did to that show I mean the one person whose voice on that show more then anything was Rena's my buddy whose a Rena fan when he listen to her voice the first time he deliberately asked me to hang him I mean the only dub I could probably handle was Mion/Shion I mean just listen to the comparison and tell me Rena and everyone else had a bad voice actor.
