I'm seeing a lot of very obvious typical fantasy plot-points being simply lampshaded by the ignorance of the cast.
Lol, fuck me for being pragmatic but seeing as how the main cast are practically your typical country bumpkins, I fail to realize how much thought do they actually put into dealing with everyday stuff. It comes without saying that in such a fantasy setting, things would come off as natural to them without noticing the slightest of the not-so normal details; things like Lisa's pointed ears and the sort.
Personally, I don't see how having sharply pointed elf ears, even in a fantasy world, can be explained away by "Country bumpkins".
I mean, the typical medieval peasant is a superstitious bugger, looking for doom and signs of the coming of whatever in their morning tea. I would assume that being in a city of such would actually put her under scrutiny, rather than elevate her above it.

Yuri between a knight and her sword?
Hot.
Not quite true. I guess if Aria should assume her sword form through the entire intercourse, it's acceptable.
Mmm, I can see the doujin already.
Err, wait. This is unexpectedly hot.

Lisa isn't a sword. She's a forge.
I might as well have put it that way if I only knew someone like you would show up. Just read through most of the responses; the level of intellect put together is so low it simply pulls me out of my zone. Being considerate sure is a pain...
Someone like me? Where in the blue hells is every other regular poster, then? Hiding in SD?

Which makes me think that Aria isn't a demonic sword, but a Holy/Spirit sword.
Demonic is but a loose term which is most commonly used by stereotypical (usually old) people in referring to something which they don't have much of a clear understanding of. It doesn't necessarily have to be "Holy" either, as she was originally used as a weapon of mass(humans and monsters/demons alike) destruction, ever since she had come to her senses. Though I guess "Demonic" is still most fitting after all. If there's anything else, "Wind Rapier" sounds just about good.
Hmm.
The reason I say Holy/Spirit, and personally I lean towards Spirit, is twofold:
One, Aria does not seem to cause gross physical mutation in her wielder upon the activation of her powers.
And, two, I'm sorta going by a quasi-Shinto style thought-pattern of, "an item collects a certain amount of spiritual energy and becomes a spiritized item." Given how Aria states that she "Awoke on a battlefield" in the process of stabbing someone, and in most ancient beliefs blood is the main transport medium of spiritual energy through the body, I feel that it's a fair guess.
If you've ever seen Macademi Wasshoi, it's sorta like most of episode 3.

Anyway, about Lisa. At first, I thought, given that the show is called "Sacred Blacksmith", that whole forging spell sequence in Ep 1 was Luke's doing.
With Aria highlighting that Lisa is also non-human, (to which I say, "The ears weren't a giveaway?"), I'm revising my opinion and kicking it over to Lisa.
Wise revision. Though the whole Blacksmith business sure smells like a lineage stuff/inheritance so I must say, it wouldn't work any other way with less than the other half; Luke, being the "
Blacksmith" while Lisa makes up the "
Sacred" part of it.
Hmm. Going back, wasn't Luke the left eye and Lisa the right eye?

It seems that Lisa is actually another holy/spirit item with the ability to assume human form. She's a forge, and has a contract going with Luke.
I don't know. Something doesn't sit right with me thinking about the chances of her, being half an object no matter how special of an item it/she may be. For one, I just don't feel that she is. She's undeniably special but not necessarily does it mean that she's to be classified as a "non-human", "out of this realm" being.
As for her being a forge, for the most part, I could very well agree. However, I do wonder how exactly she's connected to Luke for that matter, aside from the two of them sharing a contract. At this time, I still can't make anything out of what Luke may have had insinuated in the first episode by saying that the shop's actual name is not Lisa but Liza? And what's with Lisa's long face shortly thereafter? Their relationship is so vague I couldn't even tell how Luke sees her: is she more of just a tool?, a servant?, or a companion maybe?
PS: I was half-asleep while writing down this post. Pardon me if there are some things which didn't make a whole lot of sense.
I get the impression she has to be some form of non-human. Again, ignoring the telltale ears, there would be no reason for Aria to say, "For those like us", when referring to a normal human...hmm...hmm, well, possibly if Lisa was a user of some form of magic that powered itself on Spiritual Energy rather than the typical Mana, or else you could consider the latent "Spiritual Energy" as simply a renomer for Mana, or some sub-version...
but, that would require a lot of assumptions. Tho', The more I think about it, the more I figure it could go either way. Either Lisa is a forge, or a magic user. Undeniably
kawai special, tho'.
As for Lisa/Liza, that's probably...
Well, first thing that comes to mind is that Liza was either his sister or lover, and upon the creation of a new Sacred Forge, they got attacked or something, and Liza gave her life to protect the new forge. Liza died, and seeing how the new forge had yet to be named, it was named Lisa as a memorandum.
I know that's a little specific, but I can honestly see something along those lines being the background.
And, for the relationship, I'm banking on her being somewhere around, either right above or just below, companion. She's obviously more than a tool, since when she went out /w Cecily to eat around with Aria, Luke said "Let's have some tea...oh, right.", as if Lisa NOT being there with him was very rare.
