luke and lisa are awesome characters, cecily sucks

Episode 1 was a bit like deja vu since a few hours ago I re-watched the Claymore anime series.

But it's OK, I prefer this one as well - add some variety in my current anime playlist, swords and hot girls all in it. I'm interested in Luke's character somehow.

Cecily is hawt, but should be more like supporting character, not a fighter. Maybe I'll change my opinion later... who knows.
And Luke is cool, I'm all in for characters that don't just shout on opponent but do something instead.

actually i reckon she is that type, all thru the episode she keeps going on about the " pride of the family" or whatever crap, only to get her sorry ass saved by luke

I reckon Cecily is a pretty good character. Though im still waiting for the cliche "mysteriously discovered superpower that will save the world" scene.

Enjoyed this episode, will be following the series.

Finally got around to watching episode 1, and I gotta say, I enjoyed it. I was surprised by my enjoyment because I watched the trailers for it, and thought to myself, "wtf, manglobe?" However, I can definitely feel their style throughout the show.

As for the plot and such, it seems like its going to revolve around Cecily getting stronger by going on a bunch of missions with Lucy and Luke, and I can dig it. The characters are likable enough, and the music was lovely, especially during the fight sequences.

And can I say that the ed was one of the cutest things I've ever seen? (As well as Cecily, of course. She reminds me a lot of my clumsy self).

Just watched the first episode, and my reaction is... meh.

No, but I liked it, though I hope Cecil will develop a lot to get more interesting, cause she was kind of boring to me ftm... Very steriotype (very much like Alicia from Valkyria Chronicles), but I am curious about all the characters and how they will turn out later on. Especially Lisa =)
Very nicely drawn though, Luke's fighting scenes looked promising.

Nothing that special to see here. Pass for me.

For now, everything except her looks. I hope she'll get better.

she recognized that she was saved by luke though so she knows she has flaws and wants to get better

I hope she gets better at fighting. Helpless knights are ridiculous, even if theyre pretty hott!!! I'll give this show more of a chance, but i dont know if im gonna like it.

But it least it was better than the book of bantorra...that shit was STUPID!

indeed it would be good if she does improve, otherwise that's just going to ruin the show if she's like that for the whole show

Well well well, this anime certainly garnered up some sum of posts in just one episode.

And I don't understand what's up with the hate towards Cecily. She's cool in her own way, and I'm guessing she is going to achieve some level of skill, considering she will probably train together with Luke.

but she has no skill as of now and is only a knight because of her father, her constant need to announce herself is also annoying >_>. On the plus side...she's hot?:D
