For those that have a little experience with the manga, the anime version of Cecily pissed me off.
In both aspects, Cecily needs a "little" assistance from Luke throughout most of the earlier conflicts, but manga Cecily isn't some whiny emo that can't get the job done. Episode 3 made me rage hardcore at how pansy and pathetic the Cecily characterization was. (That knight hit the nail on the head: "Cowards should quit the knights.") At least Episode 4 revived my faith in this series.
If only the manga updates were more consistent, I'd never have to put up with this character derailing crap.

I'm about to lose hope in this one already -_- Cecily hasn't improved anything since episode 1, she's rather getting even more annoying than before. Luke seems interesting, but he doesn't get much screentime except for when saving Cecily, and he reminds me to damn much about Sasuke from Naruto, by clothing and appearance -_-'
If Cecily don't stop being a pussy I think I'll drop this soon. And btw, wtf is up with her armour? It looks retarded. Please get better soon, I had such high hopes for this one at first.

God, I hate imperial Lolis.
Other than that, Lisa is firmly established as a spirit/demon forge by being given the title "Atelier", a host of Demon Swords make their appearance,(Weren't these damn things supposed to be RARE?), Cecily gets her ass kicked by some rather unskilled fighters, Luke cuts fireballs, and did I mention the token imperial Loli?

Watching episode 6 makes me convinced....
It seems their country didn`t even have a trainer for soldiers...
Except from Luke,the grils with the supposed to be great Maken...
DO not have a swordsmanship ability at all...
what`s with just attack with the maken`s ability and defense the attack that can easily be dodge by parrying and moving sideways....
I thought the knight gr iirl already weak, but I see that in Sacred Blacksmith, the world is wide...
Hehehheehe, what`s with the blacksith is stronger than a knight.
Oh yeah, How can katana be easily broken by an ice that is not as hard as stone (epi 1 or 2) where the knight Luke with its body....
But regardless of that, it is one of the greatest anime in this season...

Just finished Episode 8 and if I thought I was raging around episode 3, I lied. I'm officially raging now and panning this series as trash.
Call me overly paranoid or critical, but can't we get one series that doesn't go through its "epic" emo/angst/wallowing-in-self-pity/wuss segment that totally derails character development?
Probably the only things about this episode that were positive would be Luke showing up and a moderately amusing fight. Cecily's epic declaration of her mental capabilities was funny.

So I've finally caught up to ep 8 and the only word to describe this show is PATHETIC. Seriously, the only good thing in the whole last 3 episodes was falcon paunch to Luke. Oh yeah and Luke saving Cecily.
Cecily's still pretty much unable to fight (courtesy to her being able to take down all those 4 chicks in ep 8), befriends her enemies just a second after they force themselves to her house and even tries to save their ass when they don't necessarily need it.
Show's name is 'The Sacred BLACKSMITH' so it should start focusing on Luke and Lisa pretty damn soon, since Luke still remains the best character in the show (and imo the only one worth remembering so far). Yes, Cecily got a little better compared to the start of series, but she still gets to do something tkat makes you facepalm the moment you think she got more bearable. Bad character developement is bad, but missing character developement is even worse.
My impression so far is that this show's main part of viewers is supposed to be 10-12yrs old at most.

This series was pretty interesting. I liked it very much, thou Cecily was kinda bothersome character at the beginning. Thou i disliked for being so short. The old geezers were cool and i would have wanted to see moar of such a fighting D=
I'd give it a 8/10, too short and i wonder if there will be any season 2 since many seem to hate this series. Aria FTW ^-^
